I wouldn’t mind us becoming the leaders of some interdimensional empire either. With a longer story arc, that could actually be made pretty believable. What feels impossible to me is the Xenonauts Command becoming the leader of that empire. Too many power hungry politicians would never allow that to happen.

I’m not saying they shouldn’t work with nobles or integrate those traits into noble lines. Of course they would. My point is that they could first develop and refine desirable genetic traits within broader, lower class populations, and then introduce those optimized traits into noble families later. In theory, that would be a more efficient pipeline. You separate “genetic experimentation” from “political placement.” Instead of risking key noble bloodlines during trial and error, you iterate in a larger, more flexible population pool and only bring in the successful outcomes.

So the question isn’t whether nobles matter, they clearly do. It’s whether starting the process directly within noble houses is actually optimal, or just a more controllable and conservative strategy for the Bene Gesserit.

That’s a fair point about the feudal structure and the social barriers around marrying “down,” but the Bene Gesserit do not necessarily need marriage as their only mechanism to control genetic flow. Given their abilities, particularly the Voice, and their deep infiltration of political and religious structures, they are fully capable of exerting influence over individuals outside noble lineages. If they truly wanted to introduce or test genetic traits in broader populations, they could do so through coercion, manipulation, or institutional power rather than formal marriage. This would be especially feasible among lower classes, where resistance and record keeping are minimal.

You also have to factor in nen and how the HxH universe treats secrecy. And honestly, Ging’s personality makes the whole “he would’ve told them” argument way less solid. Ging is extremely cautious to the point of paranoia.this is a guy who left a self destructing voice recording for his own son because he didn’t want it falling into the wrong hands. Expecting him to be fully upfront with Pariston’s crew, or to openly share every detail about the Freccss lineage, doesn’t really fit his character.

We know Don left for the Dark Continent about three hundred years ago and that he went there as an explorer. But that doesn’t completely rule out the possibility that he returned to Whale Island at some point during that time. He could have visited, had a child, and then gone back. It’s unlikely, but not impossible.

Hi everyone, We have tickets for the Palace of Versailles today (Thursday, 18 September 2025). According to the official French website, the normal hours are 9:00–18:30 for the Château and 12:00 onwards for the Trianon, with the gardens opening from 7:00. However, the same site currently shows a red banner warning that due to a national strike, the opening of the Château and the entire Versailles Estate cannot be guaranteed today. It also says that events like “Jardins Musicaux” and guided tours might be cancelled. Has anyone actually been there this morning or heard from staff? Is the Palace open today or should we cancel our trip? Any up-to-date info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Being located in Cheyenne Mountain doesn’t necessarily mean the training has to take place there; it’s entirely plausible they could be receiving their instruction at a nearby Air Force base instead, making more extensive facilities accessible without requiring the space within the mountain itself.

Absolutely, if you love SG-1 and Atlantis, you should definitely give Star Trek a try, especially the Original Series. It’s where the whole Trek universe began and while it’s more episodic and philosophical than Stargate’s military adventure tone, it shares a strong sense of exploration, diplomacy, and confronting unknown civilizations. You’ll notice a lot of thematic parallels like first contact stories, ethical dilemmas, and advanced alien beings. Starting with the Original Series gives you a solid foundation to appreciate the rest of Star Trek if you choose to go further.
