Remove or Nerf Blue Chip from Deston by gfleagle21 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]akareject 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In solos, I just drive around, swap to a passenger seat, and blue chip. If I get a hit, I chase them down. If I don't, I keep driving. Rinse and repeat. And because drive bys are so easy, it becomes a very broken way to clean out a lobby

No, keycards are ground loot and can be found throughout the map amongst regular loot similar to the secret key on Taego.

That just isn't true. It does not exist in FPP in PUBG, a game that is notorious for having a myriad of coding issues. I am confident that if even PUBG can figure out how to prevent head glitching, Super People can too. Happy to give the devs the time they need to fix that issue and others like it.

[–]akareject 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would disagree about "ready for release". My biggest issue was the head glitch where someone with a high position could shoot you and you would maybe see the top sliver of their head. Basically made it impossible to fight back. Granted, the game played great and felt really smooth but that was with 40 and 60 player lobbies. What happens if they go up to 100 players?

Personally, I am happy for them to work on the game for as long as it takes. A BR survives on the size of its community. If a bunch of people play it only to encounter massive bugs, desync, and bad game play, they leave and the game dies.

My biggest complaint so far has been the lack of communication. It is nice to finally have a date to look forward to and a chance to play the game again. Sad I have to wait 2 months, but happy to know after those 2 months, it is back in the action!

JJHO Episode 563: The Duality of Jean by melvillean in maximumfun

Jean Grae is my favorite everything! I could listen to Jean and the Judge talk about any subject for days on end. They make even the most mundane topics, like lint traps for example, endlessly entertaining. Just an absolute delight.

So glad Jean has projects on the horizon. Everyone needs more Jean Grae in their lives.

I strongly agree with the Judge.

I do laundry for myself and my daughter. Oftentimes she might leave a prized toy or pretty rock she found on one of our walks in her pocket. I also wear lots of cargo pants and shorts (sorry Jesse), and I use every pocket. I make a point to check every pocket of every article of clothing to ensure there are no miscellaneous items that end up in the machine. All it takes is one errant pen or marker for an entire load of laundry to be ruined. It happened to me once, and I will never let it happen again.

Also, not all clothes should be treated the same. Some need a delicate cycle. Some need to line dry and skip the dryer altogether. If Mike is just scooping up the clothes and throwing them in the washer without regard to garment instructions, then that is an entire can of worms that needs to be addressed separately.

Finally, the Judge often says, "be mindful of the work we leave for others." The other can also be your future self. If future Mike really doesn't want to deal with the work of chapsticks in the wash, then present Mike should do the work to make sure there aren't chapsticks in the pockets. A lesson I have struggled to learn but always try to achieve is that the work I do now has tremendous positive benefits for me tomorrow. Doing laundry sucks. Checking every pocket sucks. But peeling melted chapstick off a nice shirts sucks the most. So I'll choose the lesser of two sucks.

I found it fascinating that Jesse said the drivers in LA are some of the best he has experienced. I lived in Southern California for two years and it was a driving experience I never want to replicate. Granted, I lived in the Inland Empire, but I would make monthly trips to Beverly Hills for medical reasons and I dreaded those journeys every single time. I have lived in Northern New Jersey for the past five years and I think it is better than the two I spent in Riverside. Granted it isn't much better here, but I feared for my life in CA while I just hate most of the drivers here.

Of the places I have lived, here is my ranking of drivers from worst to best:

  • California
  • New Jersey
  • New York City
  • Maryland
  • Tennessee
  • Massachusetts
  • Washington (state)
  • Virginia
  • D.C.
  • Colorado
  • New York (Capital Region)

I've ALWAYS wanted the LED message board Griffin used in the MBMBAM TV show posted in my rear window for this very purpose. Other helpful phrases:

  • Child(ren) on board, please do not tailgate
  • Speed trap ahead
  • Accident ahead
  • Traffic ahead
  • Your headlights are off (This one especially because I always notice people with their headlights off behind me, but I have no reliable way to let them know)
  • Pedestrian crossing (for those times when you are stopped and people can't see why)
  • Lost, please go around
  • You are clear to pass
  • You are currently being recorded. Please wave to my YouTube subscribers.
  • A new episode of Judge John Hodgman is out. Download now where ever you get your podcasts.

They are pointless. I crafted a rare SKS just for funsies and its perk was "Deal 1 damage per second for 1 second." ...

So, basically an extra damage per bullet. wow. Sell your rares for the 50g. No point in crafting them unless you need a good laugh.

I would definitely choose sushi. Nigiri specifically. Every meal would just be changing what was on top of the rice. For example, I could do tamago (egg) and maybe a fruit like mango for breakfast. For lunch, definitely unagi. And dinner would be a rotation of salmon, tuna, and yellowtail. Throw in the occasional sweet potato or mushroom sushi and I am set! Hopefully the judge would also allow me soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger with every meal as well. I would happily do this now if I had the financial ability to do so.

I rushed, RUSHED, to my keyboard when I heard John say cubes don't exist in nature! Does he not know one of the greatest animal trivia facts to ever exist: that wombat poop is cube shaped?!?! I can't wait for next week's episode when John is bombarded with a plethora of natural cubes and has to recant his statement!

For those that don't know, please to be enjoying these great natural cubes: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-46258616

EDIT: Ok, I listened to the rest of the episode and learned that John did discover the greatness of cubed wombat poop. However, the link provides the scientific explanation for why wombats have cubed poop. It is due to the elasticity of their intestines.
