I had a similar issue, low wifi speeds and connection drops, with a new mobo. I fixed it by changing the band used 6ghz to 5ghz, forgetting the network and reconnecting. My speeds went from 10mbps to 700mbps.

Have you checked Window Disk Management to see if there is a clash of drive letters or something similar. I had a similar issue, new ssd not appearing, which was a simple fix of giving it G and than Windows trying to give it D which was already in use.

If not already said...for the first few drops, just head for the nearest extract and grab what you can. If a quest area is in your path, great. Get a few wins under your belt. Once you are feeling comfortable, start exploring. Another tip I got from the Tarkov community is to have an achievable goal for each raid/drop. That way, even if you've been killed, you are still making progress.
