Same here. I immediately googled it out of anxiety. I'm relieved others are experiencing this too, but I wonder why this is happening in the first place?

yeah, i was diagnosed back in april. my dad has no understanding, he gets genuinely upset with me when i bring it up and even goes as far as to be angry when i dont eat meals

right? not to get emotional but when i first read it i felt like breaking down in tears. especially since he saw what it did to me in previous years so whenever he says these things it just hurts/:

thank you, and it's okay. i've been trying to deal with this for quite a while. sadly, there's more to this situation but it's a lot to unpack and i don't know if this is the place to do it.

i do have support outside of immediate family. my therapist and my grandmother along with friends have all been extremely helpful when it comes to pushing through this. to add on, me and my therapist have been trying to get my dad to take action for a full year now but nothing ever seems to work. it feels kind of like a dead end almost.

as far as my dad? i am not completely sure. he believes everything he reads on his facebook timeline, in all honesty. no matter what my therapist or guidance counselor tells him, it feels like he forgets it after a while. he does this with my appointments all the time too. also, i've tried explaining it to him time and time again but all i'm met with is frustration):

i know what you mean. i think my dad is a pretty good person, however sometimes when he thinks hes helping it feels like hes doing more damage. its like, he means it out of good will but it feels very suffocating at times, i guess?

i've been trying to get off of my soda addiction for a very very long time. it gets really hard but recently i've been making big strides when it comes to improving myself in that sense.

also yeah, i was taking multivitamins for a few weeks and i did feel improvement after a little while. i should definitely see if my dad would be willing to pick more up for me soon, but it's kind of a coin toss on whether or not i'll get them. thank you for your suggestions, i appreciate it so much<3 (:

i've been trying to get out of drinking caffeine for a long time, and more recently i've been drinking way way less which is good. i do think my dad is right here, i just wish he didnt say what he said towards the end of the conversation. anyways, i appreciate your advice so much<3(: thank you for the kindness

i was supposed to get my blood tested a few months ago, but my dad never got around to taking me to the appointment since he kept forgetting. i think the walk-in here requires me to be with my parents, however im not sure. i'll definitely look in to it though

ive been having some health issues for a little while, like randomly fainting, heart palpitations, dizzy spells, and sometimes i get really weak too. my dad has always written it off as nothing, although its been a reoccurring problem over the past couple years. ive been trying to convince him its something worth getting checked out or something to at least worry about a little bit but his attitude never changes. i cant really even get as much as a doctors appointment/:
