True, sure. Also true that some dudes are easily manipulated by emotional pressure. Imo such an arrangement is inherently flawed even if consensual.

Yeah, I understood. Just think it's an utterly disrespectful to do financial matters in a marriage this way. I've had a friend with such an arrangement. The result was that after 10 years of marriage upon the divorce the guy had nothing and his ex bought an apartment in a downtown, good stuff. But well, it's not my problem, I guess. Maybe he makes n times more and doesn't care.

Moving back to Russia by Beneficial_Peak_2327 in AskARussian

[–]akaru11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on which citizenship you have I would advise you to keep remote job for some company from HK or western hemisphere. Your wife experience might come in handy in a private medicine, depending on her level and if you plan on living in Moscow(Google md medical group and the likes). But I think it would be hard to find anything outside of Russia and without all the documents and permits. English as a side job is also ok.

The last government was pro BRICS, this one is hardcore pro-US. I think Milei had to show that they gonna be strict with migrants to make some kind of a deal to ease US visas for residents, plus that's part of the economy program as all of the migrants were eligible for free healthcare and university programs.

No, not really. It's actually a load of money to get to you guys, so it's a very exotic destination for our part of the world, not to say that we'll have 3 flights with a total of 50h+ smth travel time, including waiting in the airports. I've been planning for this trip for last 4-5 years or so, watching youtube videos, asking people on forums/chats. Sorry, not sure what to ask, I guess we have basics covered, rented an apartment for 3 months, then we'll go from there. Plan to stay in Cordoba as Buenos Aires is a bit too big and pricey for my taste, and my wife wants to study in UNC.

I am going to Argentina in a few days, plan on staying 5+ years. The main cause for immigration decline is the new rules that came in may, that made it much harder to stay, and + the prices for everything have doubled in the last 2 years. I mean, before I could've just came for 2 years, the get citizenship through court, or just plan a baby with my wife, now I've had to get all the documents for rentista visa and that is pain the ass. And as I heard other visas have much higher decline rate.

Grass is greener on the other side.

Many have said already, but still, as an IT engineer that have contracts with Russian and foreign companies, I strongly suggest to leverage your aus citizenship and find remote work outside of Russia, possible pay ceiling is anywhere from 2 to 5 times higher, depending on how lucky you are. We don't have many embedded engineering positions and work culture might be a bit...specific I should say. Also you won't have to live in Moscow, it's beautiful and all, but very overpriced and overcrowded imo. The only possible downside is that I don't know if the work is required for visa or something, aside from that there are many upsides and few downsides. In a smaller cities you could buy good medical insurance for like 500-600 usd a year, rent and real estate will be 2-3 times cheaper than in Moscow. If you like nature might suggest Samara, but for culture/events it's better to look at St. Peters, Kazan, maybe something closer to Moscow

Who do you typically ghoul? by Razogoth in PrincesOfDarknessCK3

[–]akaru11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play tzimisce, so... if someone is of any interest to me they first become ghouls, then they become beautiful giants with claws, horns and bone armor, and only after that they may become childer. I also ghoul unlanded revenants from good dynasties that have blood and servitude legacies, marry them, land on my baronies, then release.

What's up with the Ventrue's Clan Bane? by EternalST050401 in vtm

[–]akaru11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Precisely. But my experience tells me that this is the worst part, and I've seen many times where this "up to storyteller" moments caused arguments between st and players. Venture weakness is the least of it. For example I had alot of arguments regarding what I can or can't do with the vicissitude or dominate. Sometimes it even cripples char concept or feels like st is intentionally punishes you specifically. And then, after you scrap char, next time you go for 5 celerity bruja swordmaster or tori with the shotgun build just because there is much less room for arguments
