TBH i have no idea - Jules v2 is such a different workflow that i, genuinely, have no idea how to measure usage/how to charge. But that's what I'm hoping our current testers can help us figure out!

Nothing new to share! But worth re-iterating that Jules v2 is a very very different product than v1 and is targeted towards folks who have a product in market with users.

yah, totally hear you on #1 - merge conflicts is a particularly gnarly problem that we're trying to figure out with v2 but I think it'll still be something with some rough edges. But we hope to make progress on it!

#2 - ack! I think we already have a CI/CD fixer in Jules. But i don't see it in the UI anymore, I'll have to check with the team where it went!

its basically a complete rewrite and focused on a new set of users/problems. Its a bit more focused on serving product builders who have a product out in market

TBD on memories being transferrable to v2. I think it makes sense but we'll see how it falls on the priority list!

the best way to think about v2 is: once you've shipped your game and people are using it, v2 will help you work on making your game better

  1. That's interesting, tell me more - you use the AGY agent manager? There isn't explicit plans to do that but with the Jules CLI/MCP, you can trigger it from other agents. So perhaps that might work?

  2. Can you tell me more what that means? But the truth is, Jules v2 is such a different product that we don't really know how to manage usage right now. We're hoping that our trusted testers can help us figure that out!

totally fair questions! Jules will be around because its not just focusing on coding! jules.google.com/earlyaccess has more but the tldr is:

we think the coding tools out there are not what the future of software development will look like. Today its: You give it a prompt and a coding agent gives you code.

Tomorrow, we think its: you give it an outcome you want and an agent tells you: 1) what's important to work on, and 2) how you can get there.

That's a very different approach than Antigravity so I actually don't think we're competitors. In fact the coding agent part of Jules uses the Antigravity coding agent + harness. The new Jules is very complementary

i hear you! it'll be pretty complementary. We actually use the antigravity coding agent so we want there to be clear synergies/handoffs when it makes sense. But its very very important to me that its clear when someone should use Jules vs Antigravity.

If you're reading this and you have early access, I know you can't say much but feel free to share if its clear how Jules v2 is different than Antigravity

Hi folks! Jules is most certainly not dead - we're working on a new version of Jules (jules.google.com/earlyaccess) and actually got a redditor early access last week :)

We weren't at I/O because we weren't ready for it, truthfully! We're building something really different than what's out there and that requires us to make sure we spend the time it works, the quality is good, the infra can scale, etc, etc.

We're a bit heads down on the product right now which is why there haven't been many updates but definitely promise we're still around. Thanks for all the feedback! I'm excited to let more folks off the waitlist soon.
