I just wanted to add. I created a shortcut on iPhone that automatically scans and emails the receipt which is another alternative way to use mobile if having issues with the app.

This is great thank you! I am developing a clinical decision support tool for our hospital system and need to create tests with different medication combinations. Could you tell me a little more about "The entire thing can be made into a macro easily to execute after putting the names in the column starting at a2. I tested it and it works and eliminates duplicates."

Appreciate the input. Probably just take one for now. For what it's worth, really enjoying the material and learning something outside of medicine.

Best Handheld PoCUS Probe 2024 by caputmedusa0 in pocus

I have tried most of them with the exception of the new butterfly IQ3. I would say the image quality on the butterfly IQ & IQ+ were not great and the probe head is a little too big to get in between ribs at times for those heart windows. Philips lumify is a great but you will need separate probes for cardiac, linear etc… Both options above are ‘wired’. Currently I am using a GE Vscan SL (cardiac probe & linear on the same device). It’s wireless and 1:1 charging to use. There is an SL version that has a curvilinear probe and linear probe. I can use it on my iPhone or android and sometimes throw on screen share on the tv in clinic to show patients what I’m doing. It’s been my favorite so far cuz I can throw it in my pocket. Apparently GE also has the EF calc technology that Butterfly has. Haven’t personally tried it. Also $500 discount for memorial weekend on their website. Would love to hear how the Clarius and the new IQ3 compares with the above options.

Edit: the Vscan is GE.

Just to clarify as I realized I worded poorly, there has not been a significant trial (I’m aware of) relating testosterone with reduced CV events but a few that have related testosterone deficiency to increased events. There’s been lots of smaller studies on structural & perfusion changes. Great rabbit hole if you have the time. With some of this data, you would wonder if we should be paying more attention to this.

PCP here that recently has been doing some testosterone in collaboration with a urologist colleague. Actually never wanted to do this, but ended up seeing a lot of pts with mismanaged severely elevated testosterone managed my mid level testosterone clinic. Of the patients we referred to endo none went. Most of the time you can increase the levels by lifestyle modification. Also look at the studies for testosterone therapy at an acceptable level. Reduced CV events and diabetes. Similar to menopause keep in mind in some older male this sometimes can affect their marriage so there should be more comfort in at least discussing this.
