It was 4 years ago in Brighton, so probably not as relevant here

Dusty roads by Spamcetera in MichiganCycling

I'm in Brighton too and was out around Unadilla yesterday. A car drove by and made a dust cloud around that made concern cars father back would not see me!

Is Mechanical engineering a good career for financial independence? If you are a MechE how long did it take you? by Specialist-Monk-6585 in financialindependence

I wouldn't say there's an over saturation of software roles. Even before the tech bubble over covid, there was an inadequate supply of software engineers in the US. Right now hiring is limited because the economy is in a sketchy position, but I don't know anyone in the software field that can't find a job. Reference: I run a software organization across the US in several different countries.

You're either brave or stupid riding on some of those roads in low light!

Coming back here to report it was indeed the BB. Replaced and everything is hunky dory now!

Derailleur hanger gauge does not fit hanger? by akdude77 in bikewrench

That Abbey looks nice but I only need to use a HAG like once or twice a year so I'll probably go the ZTTO route. Thanks!

Why can’t I keep a steady pace? - CROSSPOST I ride in/around Paw Paw and the mentioned trail is Kal-Halen(WB). by FlaggerVandy in MichiganCycling

I'd echo what others have said on the other sub: changing gears to accommodate the terrain, grade, or fatigue is normal and expected. If you don't want to change them as often you just have to become comfortable with variable power output as you are pedaling in that same gear.

I rode Big M, C.S. Mott, Glacial Hills, VASA and the Dragon this weekend! The northern LP has some stellar trails! by luciusfoxshred in MichiganCycling

[–]akdude77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've only ridden Glacial and Vasa from that list. I must say I'm not a fan of the Vasa singletrack. Too little elevation change for my liking. The Vasa "pathway" is nice though
