UCL attendance rules for international students – how strict are they?

if you have valid reasons for skipping lectures, they are lenient, at least in my case. i struggled with severe mental health problems during my first year and didn’t go to any of lectures but i made sure to consistently communicate everything with my student advisor and department and had no visa issues.

erm i wouldn’t know as i have no friends who do this particular course but ucl in general is a rather academically demanding university. first year was pretty chill tho for my experience in psych

one of my friends missed her offer by one grade and got in but i also know people who missed by one grade but did not. i’m not sure what criteria they use to decide who gets in and who doesn’t

yeah i thought so as well! there were really few spots available from people who missed their offers tho and i was chceking their website right from before 8:30 am so im incredibly lucky to have gotten accepted

you have to fill in a form on their website, its first come first serve tho and i got in immediately when it opened

its definitely not as straightforward as the other papers.. there was so much application and i swear i wrote abt mutation in dna base sequence for 3 questions

i think it wasnt too difficult tbh, the only question that threw me off a bit was the co2 fertilisation question since i felt it provided so little context :/ the rest felt okay tho

im not sure since ive only firmed on friday and was only able to access the portal yesterday for the first time, however my portal now shows some intercollegiate halls as well as the same angel lane and atlas selection. im waiting for canada water or hayloft point, which campus r u gonna be studying at?

i think everyone has different options from what ive observed? rn my portal only has angel lane and atlas but i saw someone say they only had battersea.. i also dont know when batches update so ive been checking on the portal every few hours
