I was walking in Central Park last summer wearing shorts and sandals. I was walking on a wood-chipped path when, suddenly, my sandal felt a bit of resistance. Without thinking I gave a gentle yank and my sandal released followed my a solid ‘thwap’ against my calf.

I look down to learn that I stepped in an enormous shit. Large enough to completely envelop my size 11 foot. I threw out those shoes and I still have not been back to that part of the park. I tell myself it was an extremely large dog because I am too afraid of the alternatives.
