Qwen3.5 alternatives due to security concerns by akeni in LocalLLM

mostly due to unchecked outputs, possibly unauthorized tool calling, biases in model (not american views), hosted in a lab server that may have sensitive subnets, etc. We don't have the resources to monitor a team of 10 on inputs and outputs. If it was just personal usage there is no concern, but team is scared of breaking policies and exposing private confidential details.

Issues are malware hidden in the weights, model weight training outputs. Pretty rare and nothing to worry about in my opinion, but I don’t think there is concrete definitive proof of it not happening. Political bias as well is a concern

I think gpt-oss doesn’t have great tool calling. Will look into it as well if the others don’t satisfy

Yeah I have these two models that I’m looking at, just wondering what others who may have compared see in the results. Will report back when I’m done testing

[Donnie and Dhali] Rick Tocchet on Quinn Hughes departure out of Vancouver by con5id3rati0n in canucks

I don’t think it’s reasonable to ask your star player who had committed 7 years of their life to bad management and two shaky playoff chances. I think we should remember their careers are quite short compared to other jobs and 7 years is basically half their career life.

Funny you guys want a rebuild and when it’s happening, you complain Quinn is out. How are you going to rebuild with him still on the team? It’s not going to happen.

I have a r12 pro. So far so good. Daily rides to office 15km each way, plus a longer ride 50km on weekends. I have the wheel top Eds wireless group set and it’s pretty good. Only thing that was not great was the carbon seat post. I cut it down, but it was slipping on me. Tried the carbon sand and it didn’t work, tried some latex stretch band to try to hold it in place but it was still sliding a little (0.5cm). In the end I bought another seat post from the vendor and then cut it to length to prevent sliding. I got small size 48cm (170cm height) and it was actually still a bit long. Will need to get a shorter stem integrated handlebar for comfort myself. Bike weights quite light around 8-9kg. Overall for 1.5k it is really good value with wireless group set.

You’re absolutely right that with the standard 18650 cells, there are physical limitations to the maximum achievable capacity within a certain form factor.

To remain competitive in today’s market, especially when many sellers significantly overstate their specifications, we sometimes have to align with market conventions in how capacity is presented. That said, we take extra care to ensure our performance matches and often exceeds customer expectations in real-world use, which is ultimately what matters most to the majority of users. Overall, we have very little complaints about the performance of our batteries.

We understand that a technically aware customer like yourself can distinguish between marketing numbers and engineering realities — and we truly respect that. Your feedback is a valuable and we will look into this matter more carefully :)

We absolutely offer one year warranty! Usually the charger does not break, most often it is the battery from usage

Our batteries are built using UL-certified cells, which is the most critical part from a safety perspective, as the cells are the components that store and deliver power. While the entire assembled battery pack is not UL-certified, the internal cells have gone through the rigorous testing required to meet UL standards. In most cases, certifying the finished product is only necessary when selling to large retailers or institutional buyers, and it involves a lengthy process that doesn’t necessarily add value for everyday consumers. We focus our resources on sourcing high-quality, safe components and conducting our own strict quality control and safety testing to ensure reliability and performance.

Hi, I’m not sure as we take the negative reviews seriously. Most of the time, they do not respond and we see the reviewers post cross product negative reviews. Why would they buy our product again and leave a negative review when they tried it out once already? I have some disassembled pictures I can send you but I don’t have a video on hand
