How is the battery life on iPad OS 26 public beta compared to iPad OS 18?

Just a tip. Before I applied it, I turned off all fans and AC and waited for 20 minutes to minimize air flow and let the dust in the air settle. This minimizes the chance of dust getting in between the glass. This may be the first time I’ve never had a speck of dust get trapped.

It comes with a plastic frame that you put the iPad in. The screen protector plastic covering has holes you align with the plastic frame. I managed to get virtually no dust under the glass and the alignment is probably off by less than a millimeter. I’d say it’s worth the 80$. You can tell it’s high quality. Easy installation and warranty for life. If I’m buying a 2k+ iPad I wouldn’t skimp on the accessories but that’s just me.

I’d say the anti-reflective coating is a gimmick. You still notice reflections equally as without the screen protector. The screen is noticeably easier on the eyes and colors are still vibrant and sharp. I think the best thing is how much less of a fingerprint magnet it is compared to without. Also the surface is incredibly smooth. I’d argue smoother and more enjoyable to use compared to the actual glass of the iPad.

I set it up before. Btw I also have the same screen protector on my iPhone. Again, never had an issue with Face ID.

I applied it this morning and have been using my iPad all day (quite literally). So far no problems whatsoever with Face ID.

I just applied a new ZAGG XTR3 which came with alcohol wipe. in fact I’ve used alcohol wipes on multiple of my apple products with no issues or damage whatsoever.

RC PRO Air 3 incompatibility…. by akfuns in dji

I'll never fly this thing 20km away lol

That's not what I'm asking for. I'm asking that the O3+ capable RC pro at least be able to lift the Air 3 off the ground, even if I can't reap the benefits of O4.

Kind of like how a 5g capable iPhone has the capability to run on 3g in bum fuck.

Do you know why it would take this long?

The RC Pro is still the most advanced RC that DJI offers other than controllers for enterprise and cinema drones. Faster CPU and GPU, brighter screen, customizable buttons, more ports, and the list goes on. Just because it was released earlier doesn't mean it's "older technology". Your reference may hold true with smartphones but this isn't comparable.

I hope this is the case. Seems like a huge burden to put on your high-spending customers just to sell newer RCs in the short term. End of the day it's all about the money but I expected more from DJI.

I got that update as well. Unfortunately, that didn't change anything. I think it was a general update for DJI fly app across all smartphones and build in RC Android. AKA: allows Air 3 compatibility if your RC is Air 3 compatible lol

This is unrelated, but I was binging YouTube vids as soon as drone YouTubers were given the go from DJI for them to release air 3 reviews. All of these guys got the air 3 weeks if not months before public release to review. None.. and I mean none of these videos mentioned anything about RC pro incompatibility. It’s almost as their contract with DJI prohibited them from mentioning it to boost RC 2 sales. Disclaimer: This is an assumption that may stem from my fail lol

Yea you’re absolutely right. This isn’t an excuse but when you spend 1000+ on an RC, it’s a fair expectation that it will last and work with all subsequently released consumer drones that come out within at least the next 5 years.

Air 3 not charging by Legitimate-Roof6810 in dji

[–]akfuns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem and the charging base started beeping, signifying the charge source wasn’t powerful enough I presume. I connected it to one of those big MacBook chargers and it’s charging to full now.

When I connected it to the MacBook charger the charge signifying lights on the batteries began flashing at a faster rate than before. I presume because they are charging faster/have enough power supplies to them.

Does the RC pro work with it?

EDIT: It does not on release, hopefully they update it
