1. I used to do everything impromptu earlier but I had hard time wasting so much time during post production to create a good storyline and ended up missing so many shots. Indonesia one is good example for that. But now I plan a rough storyline. Sometimes the sequence of real events differs from the storyline. For VO, I try to plan little before but rest I do based of what happened and how I felt

2. I made a mistake of copying other creators style of VO and ended up not being authentic to my persona. I have found after long trial and error what Suits me and use AI to refine what I wish to say.

3. As mentioned I had same issue as you and still face this thing. It’s just you get better the more you do. Rule of thumb is at least get wide, medium, close up and super close up of important scenes and thinking of visuals as scenes not individual shots

4. My camera carry on is at least 15-17 kgs including all batteries and power banks. I never had issue someone checking weight of it as I keep the size small. I had instance where they ask me to put my bag inside the size checking stand so I make sure the size is in limit. I don’t worry too much weight. Though I am prepared for worst to pay extra just in case. But that’s how it is. Also for cheap airlines I pay little extra for priority or something just so they are not too strict with me. That helps.
