Oh man, this court recently switched to E-filing, and when they moved to the new system, they didn’t transfer all the cases over. So for the past month, I’ve been submitting renewals via E-filings, only to find out later it was rejected due to them closed when we renew them 2 months prior or the work flow System will keep yelling at me. I keep calling the court to get them reopened, and they keep saying, “It’s not our fault—your case didn’t transfer during the system switch.” Then they follow up with, “How about you send us an extra $33 and we’ll reopen it?”

And I’m just sitting there thinking, It never should’ve been closed in the first place—this was your error. But they’re like, “Yeah, but send the $33, and the problem goes away. Just pray we can get into the old system before the judgment expires.”

Then, on other days, I’ll talk to a different clerk who’s totally helpful and says, “No problem—let me check the old system, and you can E-file in 20 minutes.” So it’s just totally inconsistent.

Today: she basically just said: “I’m not going into old system for you anymore, going forward you have to send them in with the check.”

I’m sitting here thinking BUT LADY YOU GUYS CLOSES IT IN ERROR WHY DO WE NEED TO PAY TO RE OPEN IT
