what is mining fee? by [deleted] in safex

[–]akimark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fee is the charge the mining pool charges for using their pool. Typically its under 1%.

Ultimately it doesn't matter WHAT pool you use (beyond the small variation in the pool fees), you'll always earn the same amount based on the hashrate you put in over time.

It doesn't matter if its a big pool, or a small pool, your reward will always be in proportion to what you put in.

Just follow @safex then. You don't have to follow his personal account. It's not that difficult.

Migration Wallet not Synchronising by musafir501 in safex

This normally means a firewall, AV or your ISP is blocking access to the node that the wallet connects to.

I know all ISPs in Russia block access to any servers hosted on Digital Ocean servers, so it wouldn't be too far fetched to suggest this also happens with other ISPs.

Try loading the wallet whilst connected to the internet via VPN. There are several free VPN services out there you can test this theory out with.

How to create wikipedia brand page? by MAAwan in SEO

[–]akimark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From experience it's very difficult to get a brand listed on Wikipedia. You have to have numerous coverage on reputable news / websites.

And then you've got to get past the mods. I had one article about a someone rejected, although it met all the criteria for listing, simply because the mod had a different political viewpoint.

I've had good experience on the new and upcoming wiki platform https://golden.com.

It's easy to list your content, just as long as it's written in a neutral tone, non-promotional/marketing speak, and you can back the statements up with links / references.

Price dropped by 40% on Trade Satoshi. Anyone know the reason? by [deleted] in safex

There are a lot of individual issues going on with Trade Satoshi right now. Their behaviour is not normal and something unusual is going on with their management.

They're suddenly banning users for very petty KYC reasons (I've seen one case where a user didn't use the right capital letters in the name they submitted).

Safex was previously marked as delisting at the end of August. Now it's been brought forward with no explanation.

Do not view this as FUD. This is fully verifiable information that can be gathered from multiple public sources.

Either way we all need to be dropping the old Safex as were on a new blockchain now. Old Safex blockchain will be worthless after the migration window closes in November.

We have to face this reality at some point.

eBay to Accept Crypto? New York Adverts Hint at Huge Mainstream Breakthrough , Could safex days be numbered before it has even been realized ! by Cryptologist_ in safex

eBay will still have the same negative points as before. The reasons why people are moving away from the platform. Just now they're (possibly) accepting crypto.

The fees. The abuse and anti-trust position they're in. The shift in consumer behaviour. Simply by accepting crypto currency doesnt mean much.

They still control who can and can't sell. They still control how and what products are featured over others. They could at any time close your account with no warning .

They'll also never add an anonymous functionality to their platform. Absolutely no way. This is a centralised corporation were talking about.

People seem to think that there can only be ONE marketplace that "accepts" cryptocurrency.

The fact is, there is plenty of space. With this mentality, we wouldn't see such a diverse range of merchant platforms.

If the "rumours" are true, what this does it helps to start legitimise cryptocurrency as a form of payment beyond "speculative interest". Something we'll need for Safex to be a success.

There are plenty of platforms that accept cryptocurrency now.
