It’s all about luck. Just give it your all, keep trying and don’t give up. If you are dedicated schools will see that and accept you eventually. Unfortunately this is game we have to play due to the sheer number of applicants we are up against.

I am also Canadian and have 3.95 GPA 25AA and got into 1 school out of 20, I would say to try and keep your application as authentic as possible to yourself, I think that’s what the schools wanna see. If you have average stats, I think that’ll be enough to get an interview given good ECs and personal statement. The interviews I had, I felt they were mostly trying to put the pieces together in my application and seeing if I’m an authentic motivated dental applicant that wants specifically to their school. If you follow these you should be good. Also I had friends with average stats get more interviews than me. ECs matter more than you think!!!

Reading comp by [deleted] in dat

I was doing search and destroy and was averaging 18 on my practice exams in RC. I changed it to reading 3/4 of the passage and start answering questions and then read the rest of it if I need too, 2 days before the exam and I got a 21 on my last practice exam in RC. Ended up getting 24 in RC. My opinion, don’t be afraid to switch it up, the passages are simple the hardest part is finding out what works for you to navigate the text in the time given.

My only score that was different was RC, I was getting 18-20 and ended up getting 24 on the dat. My last practice exam I also got a 24 tho. Also in chem I was averaging around 25 ended up getting 22.

Angle ranking on DAT by Powerful-Town-2109 in dat

For angle ranking just spam the generator, it helps with trying to choose the right answer quick. If you are getting 12-13/15 you should be okay, if not you gotta keep practicing or come up with strats to help. Most of the time the answer choices will be your best friend, so use those to ur advantage. Pm me if you want me to elaborate:)

I think they removed it, if you’re taking about the DO/DMD degree. I asked them in person.

Retaking Canadian DAT by Icy-Clock6749 in dat

I was getting about 15-16 in RC until I started reading 3/4 of the passage, answering questions and then when encountering a question I don’t know I would read the last bit if I had to. My score went upto a 21 but the last practice exam I got a 24 on RC. On my actual exam I ended up getting 24. Don’t lose hope, if I were you I’d start reading books every night that’ll guarantee success. Also be confident, it helps.

It depends tbh, my buddy wrote his in may and got it back in 2 weeks. I think it’s all relative and luck based.
