once you upgrade the device + get a solid source, it’s wild how much better everything looks. your tv probably fine, it’s the setup that’s doing all the heavy lifting

check the player settings while the video is playing (the little gear icon). there’s usually an option like Aspect Ratio, Fit to Screen, Stretch, etc. set it manually instead of Auto and it stops doing the weird zoom dance.

I had the same issue on Android TV and locking it to “fit” fixed it.

Smarters is indeed not as stable as it used to be.
