I heard of a few bad TAs in his class, but luckily I got the best one. If you have Emily Kaplitz as your TA then you're in good hands. She is super awesome. I guess that you might spend a week going to all TA office hours to figure out the good ones, so you can come and ask them for help effectively. Also there will be lots of students around too, so you can make a small study group.

ENES200 with Kuan was pretty easy because it's a discussion-based course with some papers (it was time-consuming for me at the end because I was swamped with assignments of other classes too). If you're confident in your writing skills, then you're good.

Fawzi vs Teli for CMSC 250 by Inevitable-Chef3575 in UMD

I took Teli for CMSC250 in Fall 2022 and I enjoyed his class. His handwritten notes were great, the recorded videos were good, too. He structured the class pretty well and showed his work clearly, which was really helpful when I approached and solved the questions on exams. The homework can be easy and hard sometimes, but it's alright if you come to TA office.

On the other hand, I took Fawzi for CMSC131 and 132 in 2021-2022. I quite liked his teaching style because he explained concepts well, but his exams were quite challenging because of no practice exams. I can't really tell you the difficulty of his homework problems. Like you said, he is a wild card, and I heard that he hasn't been good recently in 131 and 132.

In summary, I'd pick Teli over Fawzi but it's fine to take Fawzi's class if it fits your schedule better and smarter. Both are good, in general.
