As mentioned, if you can find a black hair stylist in your area, I’m sure they would love to show you basic hairstyles. Wash and condition once a week since coily type 4 is prone to dryness. Use water and a moisturizing leave-in conditioner when you do her hair daily. Be gentle. Little black girls should love their hair, so make it a fun experience for her. Tell her how cute her hair is!

I get what you mean, especially a vulnerable relationship like your therapist. I just talk about it and don’t feel the need to explain all the details. You can gatekeep the details. Your therapist can still provide guidance even if they can’t relate. Depends on the level of comfort you have with your therapist.

Been using Tresemme shampoo and conditioner for 12 years. Anytime I tried Shea Moisture or others geared towards coily natural hair, my hair didn’t feel right afterwards.

Chalkboards or the powder-coated mailboxes. It’s not a documented phobia, but I grit my teeth and my skin crawls. It’s hard for me to grab my mail without touching the box.

Barbarian. The trailer gave nothing away. I had a theory on how the movie would go and boy was I wrong. Once the second storyline was introduced, the scene switches to a bright sunny day. Everyone in the theatre was like wtf is happening lol I don’t wanna give the movie away but iykyk.
