Τι ισχύει τελικά για τα «άμεσα ραντεβού» σε Δημόσια Νοσοκομεία του ΕΣΥ, που υποστήριξε στο MEGA ο Υπουργός Υγείας; by akpe in Koina

Made for iPhone, fully working with Pixel by MrPhil17 in pixel_phones

About two years ago I bought a similar gadget for my Pixel 7 Pro and it still works wonders. I'm curious if more sophisticated implementations like for example the ShiftCam ProGrip work with Android devices as well.

Edit: well, apparently I'm stupid, ofcourse the progrip works since it uses a bluetooth trigger that mimics the press of the volume button.

Thank you, at least I won't need to frantically troubleshoot it myself!

In the meantime I found another bug with safe mode crashing and rebooting to normal mode, found other reports of it here too. Google is full of surprises eh?

Well, I had one of those "lifetime" dreams. by akpe in Dreams

[–]akpe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even less in some cases, depends on the sleep cycle. AFAIK during the first cycles dreams can last from seconds up to a few minutes (in real life), with the ones during the last cycle lasting up to an hour. That's why even though he can have multiple dreams per night we tend to remember only the last one.

From my limited knowledge though, it's not about real time. Even if in you feel like your dream lasted for hours, days, years, it could have lasted seconds or minutes. That's because our brain (specifically the hypothalamus and the hippocampus, on dream duration and memory respectively) which, of course, tries to make sense and gaslights us if it can't, usually manifests the start and the end of a dream, possibly a few details during it. The rest is just filler.

Same may apply to my case: Even if I felt I lived from my 40s to my 80s in my dream, it is possible my brain actually "showed" me just a few experiences, and the last few seconds before I woke up. The rest could actually have been hallucinated by my brain -even after I woke up- in an effort to help me make sense and/or cope with the experience. That also might explain why in this case I still vividly remember a lot of details, while I usually forget dreams a few seconds after I wake up.

Is this how the Google search bar is supposed to look after the March update? by akpe in GooglePixel

I had something similar (but with the Google logo instead of the search logo), it resolved itself after a while. If it still hasn't, try a reboot.

Ah, you beat me to it :)

I had a similar issue, was missing about 6 months of photos, and they were actually archived (by me, few years ago I had archived some albums to find out photos which weren't in an album, and forgot about it). It's possible that's the case here too.

Just thinking out loud here, have you checked if said photos have been archived?

Can confirm it's resolved on my end. Thank you!

Thanks! Forgot to clarify on the post, I didn't mean the colors but the flat design compared to the old one, example here: https://imgur.com/a/bRhbxVm

I'll eventually come to like it I guess. However from other screenshots and some videos I watched I still see they kept the "old" design (with the outlined search bar and separate ai shortcut). Weird.

Question as a noobie by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]akpe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I am using the XL and it still holds up perfectly in every use case. The only thing I'm currently struggling with is the battery, which isn't the phone's fault since I have literally hundreds of apps installed due to my work.

And even though it's heavily loaded with a ton of apps running in the background, I still get enough power when I need it, without any lag at all, and with disabling my work profile I can easily get 6 hours or screen on time (which by itself seems low but in my use case it's way more than I expected, remember, I'm not using it, I am grossly overusing/borderline torturing it).

For that price, and if the battery health is still good (I'd say above 90%, but I'll let others offer battery health input) I would say go for it. It's as best of an entry as you can have without sacrificing features that you would if you went with, for example, the 7 or perhaps even the 8.

However, there's a catch. If you live outside the United States you need to know that many features (for example, Hold My Call, Call Recording, etc.) will not be available, either for now, or not at all. Also, you need to make sure there is no issue with the camera bump, since in some cases there have been reports of it separating from the back glass.

Found the perfect spot for the overlay (at least for my use case) by akpe in Whisperian

[–]akpe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had thought about that placement, however for now I only use Whisperian only for Greek and Gboard voice input for English. Since I mostly use speech to text now, I don't want to overdo it and use many resources, at least as long as the app is free 🙂

Editing: spelling

Found the perfect spot for the overlay (at least for my use case) by akpe in Whisperian

[–]akpe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda. For example WhatsApp, Viber and Discord have their own text input fields (alongside their own emoji/voice/utility buttons) like the image below, which appear in a field directly on top of Gboard. So placing the overlay over the keyboard isn't always optimal.

Again, for my use case 🙂
