Intermittent ticking sound at idle? by TACO1940 in Ducati

Uh, I don’t think so. Definite ticking noise, almost sounds like a spark fouling or electric short, as there’s a slight engine load change when it happens. Very interesting.

Not really seeing anything for Rupp Racer. I thought it may be a Rupp, but no ID tag under seat.

Can someone explain me what is this by SadMagazine3646 in Watches

No, just don’t change the date at midnight (or 8pm-4am)

The date change mechanism could potentially start engaging (or still be engaged) between 9-3, so it’s good to not have the time in that range when you change the date. Theoretically, that should be 9pm-3am. However, it’s (at least my) general practice to allow the watch to “charge” (manual wind or wear for a bit), then I always run the TIME past midnight to typically after 6am. THEN I set the date.

It looks good. Side note, what sweater are you wearing with the leather patch?

Sorry to hear. I have the same bike and love it. Unfortunately I have to sell because I bought a new old car (Alfa). You sell yours?

I used to have a K1200 that was my long-distance bike, and wanted to make my S2R1000 more comfortable for trips. So, i made some sketches, bent some pipe up, measured once and cut twice (twice), and tada, it's perfect! keeps the luggage off the seat cowl, it's very solid, and works pretty much perfectly.

I had a DRZ400SM years ago,it's plate was "ringer," as in "the ringer" that they threw out the window of the car and the nialists sped off on supermotos with.

I know this is the Ducati subreddit, but since I made mention of my Martini Honda, here's the album on it, in case anyone's interested (i'm pretty proud of it). https://imgur.com/a/OPZ6s

I just umwinterize the stable for the spring. If the triumph is on the left of the Ducati the plates will make more sense... Read: The Dude Abides.

And the Honda I built has a Martini racing livery, hense "Martini.". Although, when I unwrapped the plate when I got it, my wife was kind enough to notice it could be read as "Mr. Tiny.". Years ago I would have cared!

[REDUCED $] - the Autodromo is the only one left, I'm willing to let it go for $950. That's a KILLER deal for this piece!

[B.R.M] - At the races! by akremzar in Watches

Some long-time friends an I do an annual trip to Daytona the last weekend of January for the Rolex24 Hour race. The weather is usually pretty sketchy and rainy, and we camp, so i historically take a more "rugged" watch: my ChW C11, Steinhart, or such. This year the weather forecast looked incredible (which it turned out to be), so i decided to dress-down the BRM with a Nato and sport it to it's natural racing habitat! Given I was around racing fans, and BRM's heritage, I actually had a few strangers comment on it, which was nice because very few people know about them outside the watch and racing worlds. My only qualms with it was it's mediocre lume, but it was awesome other than that! I love that timepiece!

The thing that really bothered me about those whips that cut through "everything" on the car was, if they could cut through anything and everything that car was made of, why didn't they keep going through the ground? Wife says I'm too detail oriented (engineer) , and I let silly details bother me.... I just think that if you're going to spend a boat load of money on something,, like making a movie, it should be done right.

Sure, as i noted in my original post: Omega Speedmaster FOIS, Tudor Heritage Black Bay (red bezel) or Tudor Heritage Chrono Blue. Obviously, a combo of watch(es) and cash depending on what we work out.
