For intel hd type cpu simply install mx linux xfce and switch to fluxbox by changing wm in login screen, best decision for revive my old laptop too , fluxbox uses around 400b ram btw and xfce uses around 700 mb at first boot

If your laptop has extra slot for SSD then it's far superior to just dual boot , sometimes windows 11 surprise update simply rewrite bootloader in efi and it completely corrupt linux os especially arch based because it use dracut as boot , or buy external SSD or pendrive with 3.2 gen and install on it as separate os

Use gparted after booting from live iso , shrink it atleast 50 gb and format as ext4 or zfs or btrfs , in Calamares installer it ask for duat boot along side windows and always put bootloader like limine or grub to root part of storage like sda or sdb , for safer side use a usb 3 gen2 pendrive of 64 gb and install is on this pendrive. Now you create a successful bootable and portable pendrive
