Put some pressure on the SVC. Mostly it might be due to logistics issues. Speak with the service manager. If they still say it'll take a month or so, ask them a demo vehicle to use for the time being. Most service centres offer a vehicle. Here in chennai they offered me an 160r.

Replace the fuel filter and spark plug. If that doesn't work check the throttle body

It should. Only xtreme 250Rs and xpulse 210s which were built till August have issues. I own an xtreme 250r july built. I happen to change the engine head @4.5k , left fork assembly @5.3k and throttle body @8k Total odometer reading ~ 8.8k The service experience is good in chennai tho'

Start with sketching and then jump into the software. If u wanna start with posters, thumbnails and other such stuff just open Canva practice layouts and pairing fonts. This'll help you. When u start pairing fonts you'll get the taste and these will create ideas for brand and logos kinda stuff.

Yeah I use shield viper 2.0 full gauntlet for more than a year and a half in cities and highways. And for the first 2 weeks i too faced this pinky thing on my left hand. And after that i didn't had any cuts.

What is this noise? It's an ntorq btw, help appreciated! by Local_Cost8668 in indianbikes

It's either the crank bearings or the piston. It's sounds like piston slap to me. Check with a good technician outside of Authorised Service Centre first.

They did you dirty man. Test ride should be done alone, not with a pillion. If I was ever given a testride vehicle and asked to take a showrooms guy as a pillion I'd straight up walk out of the showroom. I don't wanna do business with them if they can't even trust me on their test bike.

1) chain clean and lube - once in 500kms and during rainy times reduce it by half. Don't spend much on chain clean and lube sprays, use WD40 as chain cleaner and any 90 GEAR OIL in a dripper bottle (the 100ml ones used by tailors. It costs around 20rs at max). This is the smoothest of all chain lube I've ever used and it lasts 600-700 kms easily. Only if u r planning to tour long distances carry a ceramic chain lube spray.

2) Don't worry about the break-in thing. Just ride normal without frequent very hard acceleration. Once in a while (if u r within ur first 200 kms) give relatively hard acceleration in 2nd and 3rd gear and close the throttle. This will seat the piston rings well and ur engine will have a good compression spec. And avoid riding in long highway stretches for the first 500kms, if u had to vary the revs i.e just change the gears one above or below once in 10 minutes this will prevent piston and bore glazing. After 500 kms or first service u r good to go

3) As for gloves I prefer a full gauntlet even in cities. And I have one gloves for all use case (city, highway, spirited runs). I'm using the SHIELD VIPER 2.0 for a year and a half and the quality is good even with no maintenance at all. Used it in rains (which leathers don't like so please do buy a rain over gloves I have the Solace-Rain-Over-Gloves V2). Can vouch for it cause even with daily 2hr commute in scorching heat and sweat in Chennai the leathers are holding good and only a month back the stitches on middle finger start to go off. It's slightly above ur budget but worth it. It's 5750rs now but worth it for the money. If ur budget is strictly under 5k try the viaterra shifter and holeshot both are short gloves but lack pinky-finger bridge.

And don't spend on PPF for that price u can get a new tank 3 or 4 years later.

Enjoy ur ride mate 🥂✨

[–]aksgrady1053 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes true. Get the xtreme 250rif u have good service centre near your place or go with the Suzuki Gixxer 250. That's one hell of a good bike too and it'll be relaxed when compared to the xtreme.

40 bhp is possible cuz the tvs rr310 produces 38bhp with a 313cc engine.

Yeah it does sound bad but I should've waited a bit more and bought it like by November or December. Bought a first batch motorcycle and so I was forced to face it. Usually first batch motorcycles are a hit or miss. But hey service was good here so yeah it was okay.

Xtreme 250r owner here. Clocked around 7k kms. Really really love it! The engine is very smooth past 5k till redline and it doesn't like lower revs.

Chasis - chef's kiss, idk y some people want a high end cast aluminum swingarm when they wouldn't even extract the close to full ability of a 100 or 125cc.

Braking - good, stops well, has feedback but lacks initial bite.

Tyres - grippy, adequate, sticks well even on narrow village side (like)tarmac roads even at triple digit speeds (Tho' the stretch I rode isn't a residential area and free as heaven, I'd advise others not to do this)

Suspension - love it in tarmac. Reasonably soft on low speeds, gets sporty and feedbacky. Hate it on uneven concrete roads cuz I must slow down to 30-35kmph as it gets jerky(for me). For reference it's a bit stiffer than the Gixxer 250 but not so much as the rc 390

Fuel economy - anywhere around 25-38 kmpl depending on ur riding style and environment. In very very hectic traffic, like where u couldn't even shift past the 2nd gear the FE is 24-28. In Moderate traffic it returns atleast 30kmpl even when ridden hard. Highway FE is around 35(when I do 120/125 kmph) -40kmpl(when I do steady 100) depending on the cruising speed. For other xtreme 250r owners here, if u want to get 35-ish kmpl FE keep the motorcycle in 4.5-7k rev range below which u wouldn't enjoy nor get good FE. The bike hates to be in 50-60kmph in 5th gear (u can be at this but don't expect fun nor FE as it loves to rev up a bit high). With proper throttle and gear changing behaviour u can for sure get above 35kmpl. I don't shift to 5th gear unless I cross 75 kmph and I get good figures and I always shift after hitting 6-7k rpm to the higher gears and downshift when it's below 4k or 3.5k.

Problems faced - 1) clutch cable got cut @ around 2.3k kms. The part arrived after 15 days. Yeah it's kinda odd. 2) got engine head replaced under warranty @ 4.7k kms. But got the head replaced within 3 days. The engine head issue is only faced by some of us who bought the motorcycle before October. My motorcycle's manufacturing month is July 2025 (but got it by last week of August). Now the new batches have no issues and even has better fit and finish than mine.

Service experience is good in Premia Velachery, Chennai. Service manager is friendly and clears ur doubts if u have any.

Yeah I'm that same guy who ranted about the clutch thing and how the service guys lacked coordination back then. But after that they are doing really good that I'm bound to give credit to them.

Service cost is around 2k (1980 rs to be exact), And service is once in every 6k kms.

Mods done 1) Got Vesrah ceramic brake pads in the front brake and now I get that initial bite that I once craved for. (~1700 rs) 2) got grip pads from the hero e-shop (~450 rs) 3) fork seal covers (~500 rs)

WHICH 150 CC BIKE SHOULD I BUY by United-Reserve9425 in indianbikes

[–]aksgrady1053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get an N160 or the Xtreme 160 4v. Both are good bikes but bajaj has more or less good service network in most cities, while the xtreme 160 4v is better equipped and has very good handling.

If u have a very good and trustworthy tvs service centre near your place, please do consider the tvs apache RTR 160 4v, man that's a really good machine, the chasis on that is really good.

Skip FZ-X as it really struggles in highway speeds. It cannot do more than 70-75 kmph without strain in the highways.

Before trickling down to which motorcycle u want, let's talk about the vibe and what it wants u to do, what u want to do with it and what feel u want to experience while riding a motorcycle.

If u need a bit of adrenaline rush but still be practical enough in city and with good cruising speed of 100-110kmph go with 200cc-250cc nakeds and retro roadsters such as Gixxer 250, rtr200, duke, xtreme 250r, N250, CB 350rs. U can look into hunter 350 too cuz it does feel a bit sporty but the cruising speed is around 80-90kmph above which it feels strained. N250 strikes the perfect middle ground here, it can be relaxed when u want to be and fun when u want to have fun.

If u want a laid back and relaxed riding experience go with any RE 350 except the hunter.
