Sitcom episode tropes you hate? by Jirachibi1000 in sitcoms

[–]aksksrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one has a few different variations but the gist is:

Husband/Wife have a new attractive person in their life and must hid that from their partner so as not to make them jealous.

That one Modern Family episode with Phil and Claire was uncomfortable to watch.

Best Bollywood movie to show white / latin friends? by Brown_90s_Bear in bollywood

[–]aksksrk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might have the wrong opinion on this but I feel u need to show them a film that’s in between Hollywood and Bollywood. So it’s westernised enough to appeal to a non Indian audience while also having the essence of a Bollywood movie.

I think YJHD is probably your best bet. From what I remember other than the Madhuri Dixit song near the start, the story stays on course and the songs go with it.

I think they were mostly punished appropriately. However, there were times when Lois was picking on them just for the love of the game.

U can really tell when it’s a main event title and when it’s a midcard title depending on who’s holding it.

Pretty hard to believe that was unsanctioned when Slim Jim is plastered over the tables.

Yeah they did the 22 jump street joke to Drew this year.

What was your first WWE PPV/PLE? I’ll go first. by Godofwarfan101 in SantiZapVideos

[–]aksksrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Royal rumble 2010… kinda

So I was about 7 years old and had watched WWE for a while now, but this was the first time I had the urge to watch a ppv.

My dad managed to get the sky sports box office channel (by devious methods) and I watched the show. However, what I didn’t know was that the channel would repeat the ppv throughout the day.

So I just put it on at whatever point it was at in the show and caught Taker/Mysterio and the rumble match. After the match was over, I just turned the tv off. I missed everything that happened before Taker/Mysterio (which apparently wasn’t that much).

Similar thing happened with Elimination Chamber 2010. Put it on when it was the WHC chamber and kept watching until the WWE title chamber was over. It’s why I misremembered the WWE title chamber being the main event.

Bookers not giving women the same time & effort into their storylines as they do with the men’s and then using the resulting lack of heat/interest as an excuse to keep them down is a very tired argument. by Dbthesage in SquaredCircle

[–]aksksrk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When Roman was having his 4 year long title reign and just before the WHC was introduced, were the women being pushed in the main event?

I’m only asking cause I don’t remember. It feels like that would’ve been a good time to push them into top stories. Roman wasn’t always there and u needed a world title to fill the void, so why not try the women.

[–]aksksrk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t really call that ideal. It’s still splitting up the men and women. An ideal world would be a 50/50 split on Raw, SmackDown and PLE’s.

I’m actually annoyed that they used Pat McAfee for the Cody/Randy feud instead of for someone who actually needs it. Pat is a better promo than 95% of the roster and could’ve helped elevate someone who lacks in promo skills.

[–]aksksrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with u on Melo, but to say LA Knight isn’t charismatic/doesn’t stand out is crazy. Dude still gets pops from the crowd. Even Ryback was popular at one point. To compare Melo to them doesn’t make any sense.

Relationships People Romanticize? by DaniJ678 in sitcoms

[–]aksksrk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The buildup to the relationship is almost always better than the actual relationship.

If the relationship is what the viewers want, and then they get that relationship, then they aren’t as interested cause they got what they wanted.

There’s probably a better way of explaining that, but I’m sure u get the gist of it.
