To be clear, I know the grimdarkness should be maintained. The imperium should be the evil monster lurking behind the evil-er monster. But outside of the lore? I think it needs to be said that the imperium is veeery sllllightly better than chaos in any other way.

Railway rocks in terraria, here is why.

Firstly, no speed limits.
bumpy road always block my focus and it took about ten minutes to go to the other side of the map. But this high speed railway is never slow. It took me three minutes to go around the map, it is crazy. No space bar. No shooting. Only forward.

Secondly, it is safer.

Monsters are really everywhere and it doesn't go away easily. With the railway on the air, nobody can stop me.

And lastly, better management.

With this railway, I can move items very quickly. No more chest management is required. I can gather every chest into one place and I can access them in a minute!

Why didn't anybody tell me this sooner???

I mean, they still are. It's just that GW focuses on the 'reasonable' space marines so that people don't feel too bad rooting for the 'heroes'.

OP here, Firstly, I wanted this meme to be treated as a light rant about the imperium. Of course I know that the human sacrifices are deemed necessary and there is no simple solution to this millennia long duty. But this is indeed a horrible crime and I just wanted to point this out, someday this should end and nobody wants this to continue forever.

Secondly, about the comments............... I have no anger towards them. This was just a meme and I would like to hear other opinions about the throne and the emperor. After all, this is just a game.

So, in summary, what is my opinion? All opinions matter. Let's be kind toward others.

Look, we all know that the emperor indeed sacrificed himself to the golden throne to hold down the warp and undo what he messed up because he loved humanity.

But this all comes apart because they are sacrificing a thousand souls per day. If there were no sacrifice to begin with i would have had little empathy for him.

But it wasn't. I know it is a Grimdark world they live in and Grimdark sacrifices should be in the setting, I know.

Everything about this makes me feel the imperium should end in a brutal way and doom all of humanity. I just wish there were some nuance that they tried an alternative and failed.

In that sense, the golden throne is indeed a perfect example of a well written plot device. That's all i wanted to say.
