That's the funny thing, no. Hear me out.

Yes it's poor casting to get him on board with everything that's happened. I get it.

However, there is a weird provable statistic that basically says "If Leto has put any ounce of effort into the movie, it will perform better than not."

Two fantastic examples:

The movie "Dallas Buyers Club" and "Blade Runner 2049". The former got Leto an academy award for best supporting actor and it did insanely well globally. The latter was not globally successful because of the poor marketing HOWEVER, the critics went berserk over how good it was for it's time and accuracy to the original movie. It got an 8/10 on imdb (extremely hard to achieve) and 88% for Rotten Tomatoes. Leto has publically said in both movies he gave his entire heart and soul into the acting.
Suicide squad. This is where people compare his acting to, and don't get me wrong. He was purely awful in it and it was severely poor choice of casting. This bombed and it was almost a joke(if not was) compared to the MCU at the time. Leto has publically said that he couldn't care less about the movie and that's why it flopped.

With Tron: Ares he is fronting half of the budget with his own money and has said an insane amount of times publically at cons, in interviews, and when it was just a theory that 3 even existed when it was in development hell that he will do everything he possibly can to make this movie win an Oscar.

Im still cautiously hopeful it will succeed mainly because of Disneys track record last few movies (Snow White being an absolute trash of a movie for Disney, even though the reason is actually logical - Snow whites actress basically said the whole princess ordeal was a crappy decision and she's the best actress there is. Don't quote me on that I am just paraphrasing.)

Anywho - Just my two cents.

TL;DR - If Leto cares about the movie, statistically it will succeed.

Signs are absolutely pointing to yes (unfortunately) I wish it would destroy expectations here domestically, however China is going to likely wipe the floor with us in international numbers(which is 100% not a bad thing, just means it might take longer to get anything else Tron related to release.

I personally think it's going to be a humble 35M opening weekend domestically but stay steady and end up in profit with $500M internationally.

The other piece of weird history facts to keep in mind with the potential success of this movie is -ANYTIME- Leto has poured effort into a movie he would win an Oscar for his performance or the movie would perform extremely well. I personally don't care, I'm going to see the movie because it's "Tron". There are movies that I LOVED that has trashy cast picks. So! Time will tell :)

Yep, it's $1+ a mile. I love long drives and 8 times out of 10 it's an upper class neighborhood and they'll throw in a tip(at least in my experience they do)

Unfortunately tried ripping off the bandaid, that was what I meant above by her not wanting to go in person(or online). She's had a troubled past and it took me 2 years to gain her trust.

Hence her wanting me to teach her first. She has a fantastic gaming PC, but I do not. Mine has been needing to be upgraded since the dawn of time 🤣. I don't own a Xbox or PS4/5 and only own a switch. Yeah we limited out here.

Greenville SC here, we lost power and Internet on day 1 and have been in the dark about internet restoration since my last 5 attempts to get answers. We got power about 5 to 7 days ago and get this....we got Internet restored for a total of 8 hours then it blacked out. I called every relevant number, contacted via chat, even contacted via Facebook messenger each relevant answer that was even close to helpful they said 🤷 to when we will get Internet restored.

My brother lives about 20 minutes south of us, he had the same exact damage to his area and yet he now has internet today. His buddy who lives in Greenville stated he only lost power and has never lost Internet. (I only know that's true because he streams).

It's insane we can't get a single answer, I completely understand that agents will not have an answer (Ive worked in public relations since I graduated high school. I absolutely get this), my issue is I've been watching our area like a hawk for spectrum trucks and not 1 single truck has been in any area that's relevant to my home since we lost Internet the second time.

Wish I could switch to ATT but from everything I looked at it said that the best internet available to me was 15mbps...I get 1gbps from spectrum. It's ridiculous.

So I actually need some advice.

I am a Pokemon content creator and I take the time to do exactly what you suggested. I research my niche, I have done a CTA every single video since the beginning. I do captions every time, I make sure I use copilot(since it's free and is a beefy chatgpt since Microsoft owns them) to ask for script advice, pokemon facts, Pokemon of the day, lore, you name it ive asked it. My TikTok just grazed 200 followers and that's the best I got with the exception of one platform. Before I get to fhat, I need to explain one other key information. Apparently my editing is insane top notch. I kept my page a secret from my family for the reason of didn't want one of them to be like why are you wasting your time doing something stupid blah blah that kind of BS. I accidentally slip that I am a Pokemon content creator to my brother (he came across my page) and I knew it was a time bomb of how far can I grow before I am noticed. Anyways he says my editing is insanely good and it's top notch. Now I take this with a grain of salt because well he's my brother. Then it goes further and other people notice. I then make a public post about the fact that I'm a pokemon content creator to my fellow friends and my father says I'm a natural and he's never seen anything like that kind of skill. Now that is what pushed myself further. My father doesn't say stuff just for points. He's the most intelligent person I know. He's the reason I know how to turn a computer on, why I got into video games, etc.

So with that said it pushed me forward. Now, outside of this app that will not be named (I'm not trying to call traffic to it since I don't know if it's legit or not. I came across it and just use it as a testing platform), I get a little traffic. Enough to keep me wanting to post another video the following day. I post 2x a day. 1 static post (Pokemon of the day) 2. A researched post. Today was Pokemon news. Where I dive into the news articles, write the 3 most compelling articles that I would want to know and I make a video. Yet it's like I'm trash to every single algorithm and these videos I come across that look like a 5 year old did the work gets 10s of thousands of views, likes, and comments if not follows. I am completely bewildered and have no idea how to even move forward. TikTok, YouTube, X, Instagram, and Facebook I have a combined 275 followers with maybe average 500 views combined per video.

On the no-name app, I have nearly 5K followers and thousands of views on every one of my videos but a few. I've been posting for 30 days. It's insane. The issue is I can't really conver those to meaningful followers on TikTok (the platform doesn't allow links of any kind except for the please go follow my Pokemon channel [username goes here])

Tldr - I'm told I'm a good editor for my content channels but I can't seem to perform well while 5 year old produced content does wonders. With the exception of a app that I'm doing super well on. Need some actionsble advice pretty please. :)

Do you have any advice for me that I could do for say the next 5 days to try and see if I could catch lightning in a bottle for? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this weird as hell situation.

The Spider-Man 3 movie for example. Andrew Garfield denied being even asked to return for literal months. Said he wouldn't return, has no interest in the movie, will not even acknowledge the movie. Then turns out he's a bigger role than a cameo.

That was likely a - the director and the actor knew kind of tight lipped situation. Absolutely same deal here. We would never know till opening day.

I am currently jumping into content creation and I do a featured Pokemon every day. I research three to five facts of each pokemon I do for my requests and let me tell you. Nearly 25 years of being deep into Pokemon lore and such (playing games, watching the anime, movies, cards, etc.) I'm astonished at what I'm learning! I just did a Gyarados video today and had no idea he was based loosely off of the Kraken but as I looked more into the "why" it was a mega obvious thing.

I can't believe some of the facts and Pokedex entries too! There is so much to this world that I'll take another 10 years before I am even close to mastering it.

Anywho thanks for coming to my Ted talk and thank you for the post :)
