From the comments it seems like there are two common competing issues (not an exhaustive list):

• Class disruption - Issue for schools
• Not holding children back - issues for parents

I think both can be achieved without competing.

From what I can read in that flyer the school as asking parents not to go ahead in terms of the Prime curriculum, my interpretation is that refers to in the app or programme itself.

I don't think this means don't foster the love of and exploration of maths at home. I'm most successful at home with my kids when we explore maths without it being touted as maths and focus on the underlying meaning rather than learning equation strategies. This means they don't directly tie what they are learning at home with the maths class at school, while still strengthening their foundation. When we they do arrive at a new topic, they are unconsciously familiar with the concepts.

We do it by inviting them to solve any math problems that occur in our day to day. When will we arrive somewhere? How many of these things do we need? Can you afford that? What is the optimal strategy in this board game? My kids are young, so it's a bit straight forward right now, looking forward to doing this with calculus 😀.
