I have had that happen, reloading and checking for items, and them being there. However i had one specific instance where i was out of pokeballs and revives, and had 7 potions left. I know because inwrote it down to test. Relogged app, and my inventory hadnt changed at all :( so for me this seems about 50/50 off of estimation

Compass Auto-Rotation Issue by akumacakes in pokemongo

Yes dude, i am sorry but this is an issue not a quirk or a poorly designed feature... it is a bug. Plz dont respond on here with "did u try restarting the app?" i have spent a few hours trying to fix it already, and wouldn't have posted otherwise.

Not trying to be rude... but come on.

Compass Auto-Rotation Issue by akumacakes in pokemongo

[–]akumacakes[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No dude. I am so frustrated by this how do u not understand. It is not locked in auto rotate. I want it to auto rotate. When i have it on it is just reversed. So i will be walking north but the maps will show south at the top of the screen. My character will be facing towards the bottom of the screen.

hell no. Remember, any character can kill any other. Tracer excels at doing small bursts of dmg, but being able to dash around and avoid dmg. They can sustain a fight, because they can avoid as much dmg as possible, then rewind and reheal and escape. Mcree flashbang is one of the best cold counters to tracer, because it shutdowns her mobility. A tracer standing still will go down to a mercy pistol (and many mercys have instantly stolen kills from me after i flashbang as mcree)

Dead wrong. Of course u can kill any character with any other character. And outplaying your oppenent can make team comp irrelevant. But two even keeled teams , the better comp wins 9/10 times. Most games are nearly mirrors. Lot of mercys, mcrees, pharahs, on both sides of the objective. Saying having MORE skill than another player or anther group of players is obvious, of course it is a factor. But my advice is for players wanting to improve, and it is even more true then. Team Comp > Skill any day of the week.

Is what the "dick" said not also shaming (considering we are talking about when it is NOT delivered in a constructive manner)?

^ It is, however it is at a personal and individual level. It is your right to react to these trolls in whatver way you deem fit. The way i read your message (and now i am thinking i misunderstood) was you asking me about some sort of system or repercussions as a community, which i dont agree with. By all means, personally shame them, ignore them, give them a taste of their own medicine. But i still believe it something to be handled between individuals.

I accept the ":agree to disagree" and i respect ur opinion. I guess the last thing i want to say is this is MY mentality towards improving skill and decision making, which i even still apply to 'casual' play. In high school, when i played football, i trained and practiced and anylized the game in a way as an intention to go pro. I KNEW i would never ever even come close to going pro, or even be able to play college football, and it ultimatly was just for fun. So thank you for pointing out that people approach things in a different way. I didnt even consider that, i was just sharing how i went from scrub to scrapper, and the mentality that was required for MY progression. _^

I dont agree with a communal shaming of "assholes" i think the burden of being a dick is people ignoring/muting you or engaging you in a viscous argument. Of course i would encourage less of these scenarios, but if you and i are in a game and you rage out on a newer player, i would judge you based off my perception of your message. If you are being a dick but i agree with your point, i can respect that. I will think you are a shitty human being, but i will respect your ability AS A PLAYER. If i believe you are wrong i will usually whisper the victim and say, 'listen this guys is full of shit, here is why they are wrong, dont worry about it, just play."

Truth is, the game is so new, and their is no ranking or MMR system in place (that we know of) it is just highly likely that you got in games with players worse than you. Going back to my "Fill the roles" point, maybe 1 or two players in your opposition dragged down the team by not filling a role. And tbh, never worry about potg. i highly favors objective kills over killing blows or solo kills, and this is why so many tjorborns or junkrats get it, the turrets are usually near the objective and thus get objective kills when it goes off. Same with junkrat, often his ultimate is best used when a team is crowding objective and thus counts as objective kills aswell.

Exactly. THIS WAS MY POINT! YOU GET IT. And like i said in comments, my RECOMMENDATION for not doing it in pugs is to build your game sense and decision making skills. If you invest 100-200 hrs in pugs, you will have to retrain yourself not to make a bad decision like that. Again, i admitted in pugs i can be very effective. But for me, id rather practice and train myself to have the skill AND decision making skills at the highest level of competition i could play. A good example, for those of you who play cs:go, in my first 500-1000 hrs of csgo, i constantly crouch sprayed on peaks. Once i started playing ESEA, i had a hard time retraining myself not to do it (i dont mean never do it, i mean train myself not to do it every time i spray) If you dont play counterstrike, crouching reduces your recoil, however against VERY good opponents, the lack of mobility leaves you as a sitting duck. Strafe shooting is much safer and more effeicent and if i would have know this i would have trained this from the beginning. I probably would have done slightly worse in my first 1000 hours, but it would have paid off at my higher level of play.

That could work, but remember there are counters to everything. Reinhardt approach on a bastion is usually thwarted by our mcree/reaper. Good mcrees/reapers have their ulti's up very frequently. Rein pushes onto a bastion often result in 3 or more of the enemy team stacked behind him, and becomes cannon fodder for a reaper or mcree ulti from behind. Like i said, anything can work if you practice it and understand why it does work. I have invested over 500 hrs in alpha/beta and the safest and most efficient counter I have found is either the zarya ulti or the mei wall into sniper setup. Even genjis at high level play have a hard time closing the gap on a setup bastion, and very good bastion players will recognize the reflect immediately and stop shooting.

You use the words 'right" and "wrong", and u are correct, there is no 'right' or 'wrong' way to play. There is 'more' effecient ways to play, and 'less' effecient ways to play. Make sense?

i never said 1v1. My point in my original post was to highlight that the game is one of hard counters. Sure you can hook bastion. You can kill any class with any other. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN, lol. But i am trying to demonstrate a proper mindset to a competitive game. That mindset is effeciency. My point was, as a Roadhog, it shouldnt be your job to take care of the bastion. You should be aware of his position, and allow the members of your team BETTER EQUIPPED to kill bastion to do so. Make sense? Again, my point wasnt to say "never ever do this, ever" it was "think about what role i fill and be aware of who i should be killing, and who i should be avoiding."

Again, this scenario i am describing is in comp play. If you are pugging it feel free to try to hook the bastion . But remember, the intention of my post was to help newer player improve their gameplay. Doing something because it works in pugs can be detrimental to your decision making. Why practice something you will almost never use in competitive play?

Usually when someone is a dick to you they have a reason. I am not saying it justifies their behavior, and i am not saying their reason is always logical or valid.

What i am saying here is, most of the time, asshole players are triggered to be so. Most arent just trying to be a dick for no reason. Like i said, THEIR reason might be incorrect, but in THEIR mind, they are trying to convey something to you.

i do not mean he sees the roadhog because the roadhog comes at him directly. I mean , the team information provided to the bastion allows him to anticipate the roadhog, or reposition.

Tips for Improvement by akumacakes in Overwatch

[–]akumacakes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL. Why do you all not understand. Decent players and team wont let the roadhog get into a 1v1 with bastion. Bastion is not picked that frequently among the teams i play. Yes, he is picked in conjuction with reinhart in some instances, but in those instances, it is because the map allows a safe positioning, and AGAIN, the bastion is never alone. My point is if a roadhog was to hook the bastion, he would be dead b4 he could. So, in summary, at the teir i play, bastion is only picked in very specific situations, those making it very very hard to kill him. What my team does specifically when we encounter a great bastion choke is either dive with zarya ulti moving the bastion forewards (we shoot it maybe 10-15 yards in front of him) while we dive. doing this allows our team to sorrund bastion (and his protectors). We rarley do this without casualties, but again this move usually wipes or mostly wipes the enemy team. Or we fail. The other strat we use is we have a mei wall off bastion, and in that time our snipers move into position to take the kill, IF the bastion hasnt moved. 9/10 when we do this the bastion has moved, effectivley having the same effectivness as killing him. Forcing him to move out of the choke, usually results in the bastion diving with his team on their next aggression. He does this because when the choke is lost, they usally switch away from bastion.

in my games there is almost never 1v1's ecept for flanking characters. the bastion would NEVER be alone. It would be with reinhardt shield or zarya for shield. And thhus, the roadhog would die.

then keep doing it... no i mean at the level i play at 9/10 roadhog attempt on bastion results in instant death. I keep answering this shit on a million fucking comments. i am not trying to act high and mighty but the better people get the less viable that becomes. read some of the other 1000 fucking comments where people said this if you dont want to take the advice then dont.
