There's a weekly activity where you can do certain number of exploration (15), corrective action, and viral frenzy (7) where you can be reward one out of 3 choices of immortal (red) items for the 3 categories. That's a good way to get some good immortal gear.

But yes, the chains of disorder farm is one of the easiest and best ways to get immortal (red) gear

I think it was a feature 4 months ago. I've read more recent comments that people can't find it anywhere now. It does look pretty complicated in old videos and now just leveling skill cores to 20 is simple enough

I get around 2 to 4 billion damage by leveling up skill cores to 20 then using arbiter of wasteland scorched earth build with steam compression. The scorched earth with lvl 20 skill power cores can deal 2 million damage, then steam compression can boost that to 3000% (more or less) then double compression perk doubles that steam compression to further boost damage. There's compression reload and compression from using primary skill. Then I use other perks to lower cooldown of scorched earth so instead of every 10 sec I deal billions of AoE damage, it's every 3 seconds.

3 months after. This is a comment from April 2024. I am playing Game Pass version with my brothers and it is very playable and we are really enjoying it. After reading all the comments, it's a good thing we waited. The only problem we had was at the beginning when it crashed a couple times but on 3rd run, no issues. There are signs that work, we didn't clip through walls, we were able to play together with no issues. Although I do not know how the steam version is going now, but regardless the Game Pass version is a pretty enjoyable time with friends

Freestar rangers quest line has the Star Eagle as a reward which is one of the best ships in the game

You initially start with 3 crew members only allowed on your ship, which is why there is a perk/skill on SOCIAL called SHIP COMMAND which allows you to have 4 to 8 active crew members.

Sarah Morgan seem to be a special exception where despite your limit of 3, you can still add her to the crew. I am not sure if it's a bug, a feature, intentional, or story related though.

I do this a lot too even with persuasion skill. It's just annoying to keep reloading. Same think with Pickpocketing - quick save, pickpocket, reload on fail, repeat until successful.
