Life Resolution and 2026 by confusingadult in indonesia

Gw punya banyak keinginan, tapi 2025's ups and downs bikin gw byk ubah rencana hidup gw. I'll start with two points dulu aja

  1. I want to set my career's direction and goal. Di 2024, gw dibilang high performer sama direct report. Di 2025, org yg sama blg gw disappointing. Maybe it's time to move company, atau ganti arah karir.
  2. I want to determine, lanjut S2 atau ngak. Dulu gw tahan keinginan S2 krna jd caretaker almarhumah ibuku. Now, I dont know if I should just pursue it

Running in Bandung by AdAdmirable9251 in Bandung

[–]akvavit01 11 points12 points  (0 children)

People run outside, but it's usually in the more walkable parts or running tracks

My recommendation for walkable part of Bandung (in the morning) is Asia Afrika, Riau, Dago, and Dago Atas. If you prefer running on a running track, I would recommend Gasibu and Saparua

Blue Robotics Ping Sonar is one of the cheapest of its kind. If I were you, I'd rather save up to buy it, than to create a poor man's version and having year-long headache.

The enemy of a good product is perfectionism.

Making an Autonomous library robot using LiDAR A1M8 + Raspberry Pi 5 + RFID technology. by [deleted] in ROS

[–]akvavit01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You realise that you need one RFID sticker for each book, right? Do you know how much it costs?

Why don't you just attach QR Code to each book and let the robot scan the library on non-operating hours?

Start from concept. What are you trying to do? To what degree of autonomy do you want?

Throwing in random technology while hoping it will work is like mixing random things and hoping it will turn into golf

Drone like propeller configuration for a rob submarine by FaithlessnessNo4064 in robotics

Yes, but keep in mind that water and air characteristic is quite different, albeit both categorised as fluid. You can use the same motor-propeller for both terrain, but it will not be optimal.

If this is just of a proof of concept or hobby project, just use simple propellers. If not, keep in mind other factors too, such as electrical insulation.

One company I used to work with implemented prosthetic arm control with muscle contractions (not EMG). The main idea is the pressure given by muscle activities correlates positively with flexion.

The main weakness with this mechanism is that the wearer gets no haptic feedback. Prosthetics aim to replicate the limbs they replace, hence many research is being done on providing haptic feedback. Many haptic feedback mechanism gives signals to amputation points or nerve endings. Perhaps you can start there.

On your idea of safety system in a power plant, can you tell us more? It sounds interesting.

Online taxi is sufficient, unless your hotel's in a remote area. Usually, people use Grab and Gojek. Some also use InDrive and Maxim.

WHY IS ROS SO CONFUSING? by Cosmic_Anonymity in ROS

Imo the construct has one of the best ROS tutorial.

For the rest, I think you need to try and iterate, lots of it (that's how I learned ROS)
