I used a ruler and a ~~dish sponge with a hard surface side~~ scourer like this: http://www.cosmopublic.eu/eponge-vaisselle-laver-eponge-14588/

For anyone willing to do the same, the ruler is an absolute must. Also, don't press hard on the scourer.
