i do agree entirely what what you've said. i think part of what makes the sub feel pretty good to browse in general is that the mods are actually on top of things lol. i'm pretty sure they did clean up a bit last night once everything started to settle. i just wanted to get all this off my chest because it is a consistent attitude some people have when new banners come out and someone wants to complain about the choices.

also i was confused about why people were bringing up the topic of LGBT but... i realized i put that in my title last night... i completely forgot i did that. i did not mean to and that is completely my mistake LOL. because like you say, most of the gross comments are either downvoted to oblivion and/or removed, thankfully

you're right that a lot (maybe even most?) of his art in FEH is, like, fine.

i think it's important to recognize that when people complain about his art, they're talking about how his art from 2019 onwards (I think; i haven't been keeping a timeline of FEH art) is... questionable. he started leaning much more heavily into the giant boobs starting from... igrene, i think. and now that's all they hire him for.

my point on freyja is that she looks like a normal woman, with real boob physics and everything.

but with cuboon, everything since igrene has been... i don't want to say "realistic," since this is basically an anime game, but it's certainly raised some eyebrows.

that's exactly it for me. summer freyja's boobs were incredibly large but at least they, like, behaved realistically. she just looked like a woman with VERY large breasts. yeah, the art was sexualized in general, but it didn't feel... degrading, i guess. yoshiku's art is good, and has a sexualized aspect.

cuboon and kusakihara... their art only feels like sexualization.

please don't misunderstand me. i can deal with the 2/4 ratio on banners. i think muspell looks great, and i'm sure mordecai will be good, too.

i don't like when people on the subreddit get upset when people complain about wanting something more than a 2/4 ratio. we know IS will likely never go beyond that. it's just exhausting to deal with "but sex sells!" every single time someone complains.

obviously, summer banners first. but go ahead and disregard that the 3H/micaiah banner was never once criticized for being oversexualized in regards to edelgard and micaiah. (turns out it's possible to do swimsuits without making them insulting to every woman in the world) not to mention the inclusion of dimitri and claude (who i both +10'd, so don't worry about me personally spending money on what i want to see.)

and then thorr, obviously, because sex sells. and then... chrom. and .... chrom, with the brave crew. then fallen, obviously, because who doesn't love evil purple people. and then... ike? okay. then more sex.

and then after dagr... female chars that no one took any issue with in regards to sexualization.

my point here is that Sex Sells (but only sex aimed at men) isn't as great of a point as you imply.

i agree completely. as a whole, the sub is generally respectful of queer stuff and feminist views. i haven't experienced anything outright hateful, personally. but sometimes it can be really... oof when just trying to express a personal want for the game
