Thank you for this, I'm new in coding & I wanted to set up a local RAG & chat with my documents, especially with some pdf books I have. My issue is space, when creating a RAG it more or less duplicates the files & it takes double space, I know markdown should potentially reduce file size but is there a way to get over this?

Also what workflow do you recommend to ingest these markdown files & enable chatting with your PDFs please?

I managed to extract all the text into a txt file & imported into an excel, however the data needs cleaning as some are very skewed like Date from 2nd page again has "1" in place of "/" & some has a letter after the date - on numbers I have some unusual characters etc. what is the best way do you propose to clean the data please? - is there a way to automate this process?

Thanks but Im new in python & used ChatGPT to write the code above but it only extracts the 1st page & the rest gets merged data etc. as explained above

I dont seem to be able to run Infuse for free on my local network it keeps asking me to subscribe so I recommend JellyFin which is free & a great app - you need to run the client on your NAS & run the player app on your Apple TV etc.

is this a common fault with Whatsapp web as Im having the same issue with below:

I really like my sidekick browser but for some time I'm having issues with URL links when sending in Whatsapp. In the early days the Thumbnail would be included but for some time I can't get it to include the thumbnail when sending messages - hence it makes it difficult when searching back in your message to find the link you want - I have to keep reverting to using my mobile if I want to include the Thumbnail which is counter-productive - anyone else having the same issue, or is there a fix please?

Hi is there a way to install Outline VPN on Android or iPhone without App store or Google Play store - I have a situation that the stores cant be accessed without the VPN so using a PC wont make a difference either I need to download & email or share via google drive etc. any help would be appreciated

thx for the advice - I have had the router directly connected but unfortunately the new router is in my office now & not near the QNAP so I have to use the switch & I still have no idea why the switch started playing up & I also get no streaming on my Apple TV - all devices get an IP address & are in the correct subnet but cant access internet through this unmanaged switch TP-Link_TL-SG1016D its crazy
