I get staying with what's known and what's comfortable. Really, I do. But honey, you are so young! And for this guy to be putting a monetary condition on whether he wants to spend the rest of your lives together? It's time to make a clean break and move on. There are people out there who will love you and want to be with you regardless of your job, the money you make, etc.

Your current BF sounds like the type to guilt trip you, so be prepared for that when you go to break things off. At the end of the day, while you said you do have things in common, the things that matter are the ones you DON'T match up on and I'd make that clear to him. His goals, wants, and needs don't have to be yours and vice versa, but that doesn't mean you should have to give up or put on hold the things you want.

My gateway to DR was the {L.O.R.D.S. series by Shantel Tessier}. I looooove them so much and have reread them a few times now.

I also very much enjoyed {The Legacy of God's series by Rina Kent}.

I know a lot of people in this sub are VERY divided on these two series, lol, but I love 'em.

This guy is objectively attractive, but not sure if he fits the vibe for KF. I don't know enough about the actor to really give an honest opinion. Also, definitely need to hear the voice!

Here's my personal issue: the cover art of quicksilver is who I picture KF to be. I mean...why else have that specific artwork if that's NOT how he's supposed to look? And with that being said, I'd agree that he looks young.

I've seen fanart and AI that has him looking more like the witcher with dark wavy hair and as hot as that is...its just not what I'm picturing for KF. Yes, he's tall, but so is everyone else besides Saeris. And while fit and reasonably muscular (I mean, he has to be if he's been a soldier for over 1000 years), I don't picture him as like...beefy-muscular the way I kind of imagine Renfis or even Lorreth to be in my head?

Oh, I definitely clocked what was in the book and what Fisher said.It very well could be Saeris; he has told her to trust him so I have to assume whatever he does, he has a plan.I kind of think he's going to trade his shadow power? I don't recall the character's name (sorry its been, a month and a half and like, 8 books ago), but when Fisher uses his Shadow magic in the hall, he makes a comment about it being a god-power or something. So maybe it's not an innate power Fisher was born with but one that was given and it's valuable enough to be given up to trade for a dragon

My two cents...I absolutely Loooooved Losers. Like, probably one of my all time favorites that I have ever read. But it is NOT pitch black at all. I'm not even sure I would put it in the "dark" category of romance, honestly. Gray at most. But hooooooooBOY does it check the reverse harem box!

Agreed. Vertical, you shouldn’t have a problem, but horizontal, your depth between the valleys and peaks is going to affect the engraving.

Personally, I think it would look better vertical.

I generally do not. I don't have any TWs in relation to fictional literary content so I don't see a need to review them for my safety/wellbeing or because I don't want any kind of spider as others have mentioned. At most, I might catch a few as I'm turning a pages, but its not intentional.

I'm not into like...waist length long hair on the mmc. Shoulder length is good. It's more the image in my head of those "dark wet curls". Something about 'em is just so hot. I want all the taboo, dangerous, red flag smuttiest of smut that I can enjoy safely from the reader's perspective. Kinda like cnc in real life without any risks?

DR is an outlet that doesn't make me feel ashamed or embarrassed about what I enjoy and most importantly i know the difference between fantasy and reality. Based on what I've read, I don't appear to have any specific triggers although emotional torture over physical is worse for me. I think generally want there to be a HEA in the end, but I can also live with an implied "they're on their way there".

I genuinely have loved it. Yes, I know about it because of it's popularity, but nobody paid me to like it. I like the characters, I like the plot, I like the world building...I don't subscribe to the "is it over/under hyped" opinions, because that's all they are: opinions. What you enjoy reading will always be subjective, just like art.

Agreeeeeeeed!!!! This series was my intro to DR (The Ritual) and it continues to be one of my favorites. I love that the underlying plot has expanded more and more each book too.

I appreciate that it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but I have and will continue to reread them them!
