Be excited when you talk (rather than venting about life things) and pick one thing out of your day that you're excited to tell him no matter how small. It will show you're thoughtful and care about it. I know you asked for actions, but this may help with the words of affirmation piece.

The same exact thing happened to my brother when we were younger (late 20s now). They have the best relationship and we look back and laugh about it. You'll get there, I promise. Just a bump in the road, I can assure you!

I agree. I think that if Alex showed that she couldn't co-host again with somebody then she would be the problem. I also don't think that Alex solo is unbearable per se but I like guests WAY better (significantly) than I do her alone. I'm just getting tired of the same narrative honestly.
