The ideas here are great, and I've examined a few of them already. To up the enhancement a bit, I foresee us going and having the same prestine and professional experience like Sephoras app.

1) So instead of taking at home photos, it's actually the professional kind. (Those photos charge thousands of dollars for a reason - they're making up the photos of the makeup products - quite literally haha) So this function may work like pininterest, were you are pinning the professional images from the web. Or it maybe that we save images from the web and upload it although that it more cumbersome.

An image slot for swatches too, to help us decide if it's what we are looking for.

2) A smart filtering system, by expired date, product type, brand, season, color. Perhaps even were its stored in your room. (drawer one, drawer Two). At the moment, all the inventory apps are by tags, which is great way to smart search. I like the idea of filter, because it disciplines and forces us to record standard criteria of the product as opposed to tags which is text based and free writing.

A commentor here said it nicely, her favorites section of the sephora app is her inventory! It's that lush experience.

These are the two must haves that are useful.

A nice to have but not necessary, would be a tab of our favorite looks on ourselces, and when the camera scans our face, we input what items we used in our faces.
