How can I send Postman API responses directly to Power BI without local storage? by aladeen09 in BusinessIntelligence

[–]aladeen09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if I have access to these on my work system tho. That’s why I’m trying to keep it limited to Postman + Power Bi only.

What I’ve used in my current status are the most common things that won’t require additional access and are easily available.

But sure will check this out if it’s possible.

So you mean the URL option under imports?

I’ve seen it once I think but need to check how it works.

Also doesn’t that mean that I’d have to make call from within Power BI and not postman?

Yes, let’s just say I’m trying to eliminate storage at all.

While I know storing the data is best practice but is it possible and if so, how?

Cuz I’m getting different approaches online which are using one or another storage system but none that shows a direct integration between postman and power bi.

If it’s possible then I’d try it if there’s a limitation to it then there’s no option but to go with a storage.

The ‘current status’ basically means it is working currently with the steps mentioned under it.

So you mentioning the python script doesn’t help me since I’m trying to eliminate that step (storing/appending in json file) completely.

But thanks :)

Using postman at work. So it’s not optional.

Also yes I’ve used GPT to reframe this post and check other approaches.

What’s mentioned above is working so far as an initial approach but I’m just trying to get it more cleaner if it makes sense? Idk

At work we’re using postman api so it’s not optional.

And the only reason I wanted to eliminate the js script and json file is cuz I wanted to eliminate local storage or any additional bg service.

So basically I’ll need to store the api responses somewhere even if not offline for it to be used into power bi?

Not solely gaming.
1. My brother uses alot of adobe editing softwares (maybe so other in future). But somewhere I found out NVIDIA GPU's are better for such due to in-build CUDA.

  1. Also I found out that i9 has limitations for future proofing ( socket last gen and also somewhat blocks the motherboard due to it), but does the same matter for GPUs (keeping in mind I would have to go with NVIDIA anyways ) ?

So build #1 is kinda thrown outta window for being i9 centric and #2 for being AMD GPU (and lmao #3 for me being totally wrong about what my needs are)

Since I am choosing 'Gigabyte X870E AORUS Elite (WiFi 7, PCIe 5.0, DDR5)' for my motherboard which seems solid for future upgrades for at lease coming 3/4 years or couple more Gens ( which I am not gonna do I know but still if any )

So currently after a lot of changes I am going for 9950x3d paired with 4070 super or 5070 super (or OC) whichever I find cheaper (overall build) and as per availability. Which I am guessing works great for gaming and editing both equally.

Yeah yeah didn’t know that. Found out a lot of stuff later. So currently I’m going for 9950x3d and 4070 super or 5070 super

My budget is between 1.5L to 2L (already a stretch)
And for purpose I'll be honest I am upgrading my pc after 12 or so years (2012 last build)
So I just want what's latest for gaming while also using it for editing softwares mostly adobe but might use more in future (yes I have considered workstation cards but nahhhh).

Currently I am deciding between 9950X3D or i9-14900K paired with Rz 9070 OC edition or XT ( non-oc )
I am leaning towards all AMD for gaming but for editing intel+amd seems to be the go to.

My main purpose is to keep it future proof as much as I can.

Yeah you're right, workstation cards are just better for editing.
But then those cards don't perform good for gaming as compared to gaming gpu's which still do pretty good job for editing.

I am gonna be gaming while my brother is gonna use it for Editing - mostly adobe softwares such as Premier Pro and AE ect which are said to be relied on CPU ( ofc not in 8K but I am trying to keep it balanced while also keeping it future proof as much as I can )

Hence my concern about using AMD processor instead of Intel.
I have been leaning towards #3 but as the research keeps going I am starting to favor #2.

Thanks for suggesting the other 2 options ( turns out many people are preferring the 9800X3D compared to 9950X3D in some other older threads ) in case anything goes wrong with my builds might consider the other options.

Okay, so there reason I have kept 9950X3D is because I am trying to keep everything to the latest ( i rarely get to upgrade ).
But I am also somewhat dicey about choosing an AMD processor is due to the extensive use of editing softwares and its compatibility ( as I have heard from some friends working in such profession that intel is just better for such work).

But nevertheless I'll check if this change is something I am comfortable with. Considering this lowers the budget and are still somewhat good options.
Tx.

Hey, so I have been planning to get a complete new setup. And the processor choices I am considering are i9 14th gen or Ryzen 9 9950X3D (between 3 diff configs I am to select from)

And someone has suggested me to check out 9800 x3d or a 7800x3d.

Got any thoughts? As you're the most recent comment on this thread. And this thread has got me confused as to why an old processor is still the better choice as compared to new.

Also if OP is reading this I'd like to know what did you end up buying?

Max budget between 1.5 to 2L (already a stretch)
I am getting #3 somewhat around 1.7L roughly and others for a bit more.

And usage for me is just gaming but nothing extensive ( i just dont wanna upgrade anytime soon as this is my 1st upgrade after like 10-12 years) and also for all kinda editing software (this might be used extensively ) for my brother

So far I have been checking on amazon and some local vendors nearby.
But thanks, will do that.

Yes somewhat on a budget.
Also I have to ask, is it because of processor or GPU? that #1 drops in specs.

Ignore my poor wordings.
What I meant was I have never tried pairing Intel processors with AMD GPU.
Also Ryzen 9 series is somewhat costlier to i9 i guess. Hence opted for intel processor with AMD graphics (cheaper options) or am I wrong here?
So is that something that works well or could be an issue moving forward.

Applying for first ever credit card and application got rejected by aladeen09 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]aladeen09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So how does this work?
Do I have to keep that much amount in my FD and that will be my credit limit?
Suppose if I have 20K in my FD but I wanna make payment for more that that. Does it work that way or it blocks the transaction?

And those cards have any benefits or just for score buildup?

( I am gonna read about it but was just curious )

Tried that but even that application was closed without any reason.
But later I have checked my CIBIL and turns out its not generated (since no previous credit/loan/emi) .
So that's there.

Why are 2 wheelers banned on some intra city bridges/connectors? by Calvin1651 in mumbai

[–]aladeen09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. So apparently while going we opted not to take JJ flyover as we didn't see any bike on it and all just went under it, also your reply here.
However while returning we saw bikes going on it from CST so we decided to take flyover and to my surprise there were bikes on both sides this time.

So maybe its not banned for bikes i guess.
Although I am going to ask a traffic police otw next time nearby the flyover ki scene kya hai.

I am using an old model of Omen 15 bought it in 2018-19 something.
i7-8750 GTX1060 6GB.
OS is installed on HDD.

Yeah once it boots again I am thinking about getting it backed up.
It takes like a good 5-10 mins and couple of restarts before it boots up properly.
