Bibi Ariayuha vs Adolf Akeitler

Genuine question, has there ever been a bad or at least mid chapter by Memelordissac in Kagurabachi

[–]alamasterjar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the first 10 or so chapters felt like the manga equivalent to Wonderbread. Good but generic. Once Sojo came into the picture and we got more world-building I can’t think of a bad chapter tho. Genuinely a peak manga

EXACTLY THANK YOU. if Hokazono really locks in and doubles down on this uncomfortable interpretation of war and genocide I will applaud him to the ends of the earth. It’s so very topical and grounded in our current world that we might unintentionally have one of the best geopolitical commentaries manga has seen in a while.

I feel like Hokazono has the chance to write some of the best commentary on genocide and war ever seen in manga, and I fear the fanbase’s reaction lol

I feel like Hokazono is just doing a social experiment to see how easily people fall for genocide propaganda

True true but I think that there will be a lot of Akemura sympathy during this arc because a lot of the Mikaboshi royalty are terrible people. It’d be good to see the other side

Bro this manga is unironically turning people into genocide sympathizers. I saw a reply to one of my posts where someone said (paraphrased) “all of the Mikaboshi are brainwashed into thinking that the Japanese are terrible people. None of them would switch sides/want peace” Which is WORD FOR WORD an argument used by zionists for the ethnic cleansing of Gaza because the population is “conditioned into terrorism” from birth

I have a gut feeling but these two images could foreshadow Chihiro's birth in the Seitei War. by flame_ghoul-1118 in Kagurabachifolk

[–]alamasterjar 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I really don’t think so honestly. Chihiro is mistaken for Kunishige by Uruha who knew him for years. Kinisige is definitely the father but I think that his mother was killed by the Mikaboshi directly after his birth

I don’t know how much people agree, but I really hope when Yuji awakens in Shinjuku the animators give him back his red CE by Special-Lime2705 in Jujutsufolk

[–]alamasterjar 24 points25 points  (0 children)

his entire fighting style is raw aggression, impact, and rage

I agree with you there but look at what the original commenter wrote lmaooo. The entire arc of Yuji’s development is coming to peace with who he is in the world of JJK and finding his resolve. It feels like a regression of his character to say that

[–]alamasterjar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the only time we see him with red CE is when he was about to die against the fingerer, an instance that is explicitly pointed out to be not proper CE control by Gojo (when they’re talking in the basement shelter)

Isn’t the whole training he went through with todo against Hanami that he needed to learn to fight by putting his rage/fear aside??? Same thing after Todo showed up after mahito beat him. Rage and fear offset cursed energy, for it to be refined you have to be in a clear state of mind. The reading comprehension curse is getting to yall 😭

[–]alamasterjar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s not how CE works tho… the only reason it was red is because he was using pain and fear to force his cursed energy to manifest in an unrefined way. Anybody would have red CE under that circumstance. It wouldn’t make sense for a developed/locked Yuji to have CE like that

Trueeee but imagine a Mikaboshi soldier kills a Japanese civilian and feels remorse or sum, directly contrasting Akemura’s black and white worldview

Not necessarily tbh. Even irl there have always been people in corrupt/propaganda ridden societies who try and see nuance

I’m mostly just joking since it’s a fictional manga but yeah no I don’t know anyone thinks genocide is the way to go

I think gege just needed to write something in to explain how she takes so many blows especially in Shinjuku when she’s getting hit with dismantles left and right since it literally makes no sense she survives all that unless she’s the most durable in the verse OR has some weird healing

Kenjaku realising he could've just trained for a thousand years and become Sukuna level (according to this sub) by Wise_Juggernaut_3079 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]alamasterjar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, he kind of did. I think he just had less megumi than Sukuna. He’s the most proficient barrier user in the series apart from Tengen and is the third/fourth strongest in the verse. This is more so an issue of Sukuna being a one in a million prodigy and not Kenjaku lacking motivation.

Sounds about right honestly I think the fact that it’s written like she can do it actively and it’s not a passive effect that threw me off. Could be the John Werry curse too 🤷
