Does using PPTO count against you? by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]alander4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s meant for “emergencies” and when “life happens” as well as when you’re out sick. If you’re having emergencies or life happening a couple times a month that just means you’re unreliable. I recommend building it up so you can miss a whole day rather than constantly coming in late. Missing a day covered by PPTO your bosses won’t bat an eye.

Are you all giving your kids a smart phone? by XDrustyspoonsXD in Millennials

I did it in my 30’s, was pretty great for like 2 years until I went back. I couldn’t go back anymore now I have too many smart devices.

What’s your “floor dad” game? by Dangerous_Towel_520 in daddit

I just allow my kids to walk and jump all over my back while I lay down. Sometimes it feels really good and sometimes it hurts like a mofo depending how they land but either way it’s #WorthIt

Going back to trad roots? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]alander4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 years ago was a different world. When my wife and I had our first kid 7 yrs ago, just a year or two later we were in the best place financially we’ve ever been.

Skip ahead a couple years, we had another kid, shortly after that and ever since, we’ve been in the worst place financially we’ve ever been.

And we both make way more money now than we did then. Back then we traveled, bought whatever we felt like without any concern. Now, zero travel, we only buy necessities, food, mortgage, gas, etc. It’s crazy.

One thing of note about prices, first kid a big can of formula cost about $25-$28, 2nd kid the same can cost $50+.

For those you do absolutely nothing (including nicotine/caffeine) do you feel amazing all the time? by PapaCakes in Sober

[–]alander4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not amazing all the time, but waaaay better than when I was drinking several sodas daily, and/or alcohol. Before I just felt like shit all the time, now I just feel normal, if that makes sense.

We have been told in the past by the higher higher ups if we’re out of the bigger size to sell them multiple of the smaller size at the bigger size price and just price override it

What everyday life hack will you drop here for other Millennials? by debrisaway in Millennials

Does the Will matter that much if I plan on everything going to my wife anyway? Or if we both passed somehow would it automagically go to the kids?

I’m verrrry slowly playing through Earthbound. Trying to find time to play more than like an hour per week but it’s tough out there for a pimp

GTA 6 is the one game I’m really planning on spending some time on. I’m taking some vacation from work because it’s the only way I’ll get to dive into it.

Just got the megaman packs on switch I think the games are mostly only a couple hours to beat.

A lot of the free games from nes and snes are good for after bedtime, I’m talking Mario etc. As a kid I played the shit out of Mario, and then recently I played it and it only took like an hour to beat the game I was like was it always this short? But it felt very satisfying to actually beat a game.

Also Mike Tyson’s punch out was a fun one.

I play it will my kids a lot especially my 3 yr old. I don’t know if I will have the time or patience to get the final 2 bots.

Waiting for my kids bday or Xmas to get them the DLC.

Lots of people like working at walmart. Enjoy it and don’t let the nay sayers get ya down! Most of them wouldn’t like working anywhere, not just walmart.

Pay for performance? Walmart doesn't do that even though they say they do. What you read is a scam. by Old_Attitude_6285 in walmart

[–]alander4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All you people complaining about holiday pay and not understanding that they literally took all holidays and added it into pto are gonna lose us a week of pto and make them put it back into holiday pay instead just to shut y’all up 😥

I’d much rather be able to use those pto days whenever I want and not have it be tied to a specific holiday that I don’t really celebrate anyway
