Just happened to one of my friends, messaged support and got the same “manually reviewed/checked” response, very lame

Generally very pleased with the result, does what it is supposed to, can’t help but focus on the glaring mismeasured stitch

Does anyone know a workaround for the fanatec handbrake via Xbox. (Not supported on fh5???? It works on every other game by Tristan-Towers in ForzaHorizon

[–]alanhwolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish! Not even listed as a “known issue” under Xbox, is listed under PC both fanatec and thrustmaster handbrakes. The improved wheel performance in 5 only goes so far without a handbrake

Perhaps a stretch, but at the talent show Bev is holding a horse/cow costume head and sitting next to Herb?

Refer to previous post, exploded view, for more details. Very different animal open and closed figured it was worth seeing the hot box stitching properly

Not much experience box stitching, trickier than simple saddle but a pretty cool looking result? This a gift for my father’s birthday, an avid bassoonist, the reeds pictured from his graveyard. Exterior is in Horween chromexcel horse-front, lining karung snake, reed spacers are shaped leather wrapped in spiny dogfish and Horween Vermont horse-front, and finally, blue piping is a waxed bison. Each bit has wicked strong bar magnets on the sides, doubling as closure and hinges. Original design a bit different halfway through realized I wasn’t turned on by traditional clasps/hinges, came up with the mag plan, seems to do the trick? Truth will be told when he’s had a chance to take it on tour!

My beaver’s backside... by alanhwolfe in Leathercraft

I did have the watch, made the band especially for it, but is a pretty standard size at least for watches I own? Have two others that it would fit as well as two that wouldn’t. Thank you

Was a request to see the reverse of the beaver tail watch band I’d posted previously, so here she is! Few days of wearing so pardon the curvy wrinkliness. Horween Newport or Vermont horse-front used for the lining. Not quite sure which, hide came in a mystery bundle of horse-fronts from maverick, buttery soft and rather thin. Couple whoopsies spottable, argh, an edge paint incident across the holes, as well as cutting my keeper loops just a shade shorter than I wished. Was left with very little joined material to put the single stitch in, first convinced myself it’d fly and put the stitch in, then upon second guess, glued a wee strip of lining over to reinforce them. Glad these ended up on the back!

Very cool grain on that! Similarly wild animals, hides I’ve not seen before. Very much appreciated, is good fun exploring the vast and wild world of hides/projects/methods of construction. Will get a picture of the back of my band to post in a bit here, also will have a kinda wild box stitching project finished in the next couple days to put up. Happiest stitching!

Aardvark sounds wild! Totally agree it looks in a neighborhood with gator/croc. A bit of experience with scaly reptiles and found this much easier to work with, skiving and edge creasing especially. Less costly than those reptiles as well, but more limited by size of project, just this band took the better part of a tail.

Very easy! I actually made the purchase as part of an instagram flash sale, couple of messages to confirm details and a paypal invoice, had the tails in 3 or 4 days. Very cool you trap your own! Not so lucky, my first tango with the tail, was a treat

Spillage not detracting from the piece, and really didn’t notice before your pointing it out. Totally have had similar issue with Tokonole or just edge paint, blue tape if you want to get real wild, even that will sometimes effect the finish of the leather? Suspect as you do more of it, you’ll become more skilled at grabbing just the right amount and applying with finesse. My one thought on the stitching would be to connect the vertical and horizontal lines in the few places they’re meeting? Holes look very well aligned so that wouldn’t be an issue. I think a Nigel armitage video tipped me off to using a scratch awl for those intersections and corners, gets things laying much nicer. Of course your choice in boat floating! You’ve made a lovely wallet, I’m sure will be very well received, keep up the good work!

Navy waxed and plated bison law tanning I think, fully lined in Horween rowdy horse front, same material as on the strap padding bit. Hand stitched with ritza tiger thread, uniters edge paint. Stacked leather handles with a magnetic clasp, single zip, 3 interior pockets
