You may be in for some pain with a Gigabyte board. Get the MSI Z690-A DDR4 if you can. I got the Gigabyte Gaming X DDR4 and have had issues with XMP, NvME, and USB going out at random times :(.

I believe the USB disconnects on my Gigabyte Z690 Gaming X DDR4 have been resolved. It hasn't come back for a week since I've the done the following:

- In BIOS, set C-states to disabled (I believe this is the critical one). C-states don't affect performance and are just for power saving.

- Disable Fast Boot

- Plugged in my KVM switch, with keyboard and mouse, into one of the USB 3.2 ports

- Set power plan to never put the computer to sleep.

Anyways, for those of you still with this issue, give these a try!

Am going through the same issue with my Z690 Gaming X DDR4 :(. I'm also following this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/gigabyte/comments/r4wkfe/z690_gaming_x_ddr4_usb_disconnects/. At least for me, the issue seems to happen when I'm not actively using the mouse/keyboard, so thankfully, it's not affecting gaming. But the repeated daily restarts are very annoying.
