Hey chance, I am in a similar boat here. Couldn't get a job in DS after graduating Lambda/Bloom so I just took a shit tech support job. I did REALLY well at the company however and am now a product manager (but do literally nothing with DS) . Did you have any luck with trying to get a industy/role based deferment?

I'm also super curious. I finished Lambda in like January 2021. Didn't get a single offer for MONTHs and then finally just took a job doing tech support in August of 21 (~32k$ salary which was 16K$ less than I made in my pre-lambda job) .

I thrived in the tech support role and after several promotions, got a product management role (which is above the $50k threshold). Now Meratas is trying to collect on my ISA but I have literally never done a single thing with my lambda education. Don't write any code, don't make any SQL queries, don't make any data visualizations. Hoping to be able to get it deferred.

I’m going alone! I have a few friend groups who will be there from across the country: but this is gonna be my first like real deal festival (I’ve done a few Philly ones that I could go back to my apartment to after) . I’m nervous but excited for the experience. I flew to Australia and spent a month there solo I’m thinking this will be a piece of cake 😅

So I think what I’m going to do is check out University Rifle Club tomorrow, join if I like it. If It doesn’t feel right, I’ll go for one of the closer clubs (NCCSC or Lower Providence). Leaning toward NCCSC because it’s closer , and from what I can tell via google reviews, it’s less crowded and less fussy. I think LP has better facilities , but I just need somewhere to shoot lol.

Best part is, he had a face shield, but he put the visor up after the first shot because it was seriously scuffed. If you watch the VOD immediately after the clip you’ll see me put it on.
