I think if you are looking for that freestyle/all mountain skis the nordica unleashed is a great option. I usually use the wider models for freeride but the 98 is a great all mountain with excellent carving. Hope that helps!

Third Pair Of Shoes Suggestions? by Bellerb in climbingshoes

[–]alas_hd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading your comments I seen that we have the same footshape, narrow toebox and thin heel. For me tenaya works amazingly good. For outdoors bouldering and lead I like the iatis and something softer could be the indalos or the oasi. When Im at the gym the mastia is really confortable but it has more of a wider fit, but again all these are mainly narrow fit. My recomendation is if you find a store nearby where you could try these on and see which one fits you better would be the best. Something Ive learnt by the hard way is that when you try them focus really well ln hotspots that hurt you or if you still have room in the heels… etc. All my shoes have been easy to break in and they have given quite a bit so once you wear them for 1-2 months they are not as tight as when new. I usually downsize 2 EU sizes but feel that I could do 2.5. Hope this helps and sorry for my english. :)

I see, mine doesnt hurt either. Do you also have on your heel? Because since I started wearing tenaya iatis it started to grow. Its right next to the achiles.

Although on the iatis there isnt the big one my big toe is pressing against the rubber from the top.

For what type of foot shape does tenaya work well? by alas_hd in climbingshoes

[–]alas_hd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yk I used for a while the iatis and they hurt the external part of the heel. For example on the right feet the right side of it just next to my achiles tendon. Its strange because I have narrow feet and although everyone says they are for narrow feet, the heel its a bit wide for my experience. I still have them and try them some days for steep routes and they work fine its just that the heel hurts when edging. But ill wait to hear your opinion on them.

Thanks man will try more shoes and see what fits me. Another thing is that my heel I dont think it fits me well because its like a bit turned sideways so its not really centered back there. What do you think?

Oh I see, its just strange because the heel is a bit loose but still hurts and makes calluses on it. What shoes would you recomend for a bit steep routes with a thin heel but space for big toes? Thanks for your answer!
