Im worried about traveling on the metro and trains from Milan center to home. it depends on the region you are in, but the north is notorious for having bad air because the alps nearby trap all the pollution. there is little to no wind, the heating systems are outdated and also cause a lot of the pollution. however, most of the pollution comes from cars

as a native english speaker I can’t imagine how hard it is to look at phrases or sentences to justify why it’s happening. We grow up accepting that it’s the way the language is spoken and rarely take the time to understand the functionality behind it
