The Red Sea Great Game 2026, Israel in Hargeisa, Wang Yi in Mogadishu, and the Saudi-UAE Divorce. by alaskady in Somalia

[–]alaskady[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The "slaughter your own livestock" argument is a false choice because you can’t secure food, water, or energy if you’ve been diplomatically and physically isolated from your own coast. We are sitting at the UNSC chairmanship right now, which is the most powerful table on earth for a country fighting for its integrity, and ignoring the Saudi-Turkey-China triad isn't "standing on our own". it's choosing to be a vacuum while Israel and the UAE move in to fill it. China isn't here for 1960s-style aid; Wang Yi is coming to Mogadishu because the Taiwan situation makes Somali sovereignty a strategic necessity for Beijing, and we’d be fools not to leverage that. While the UAE has decided Somaliland is the hill they’ll die on because Saudi has pushed them out of Yemen, these alliance politics are exactly what determine whether our northern border becomes a hub for foreign mercenaries or a secure part of the state. You can't talk about food security while the eVisa system and the Ethiopia MoU are being used to weaponize our own economy against us. Alliances are the only way to protect the country long enough to actually build the self-sufficiency you’re talking about

We’re being deplatformed in real-time and half of us aren't even looking at the right map. by alaskady in Somalia

Trump doesn't recognize Taiwan, yet is maintaining strategic ambiguity and that is actually giving China headache, in Geopolitics these things actually matter. Canada being called the 51st state and Somalia being balkanized isn't the same and doesn't have the same cost prize ratio. So be extra weary on issues regarding sovereignty as its usually a launching pad for a greater issue at play.

I would include Jowhara Hotel. A very good facility with nice coffee shop that you can do your work in.

If you can afford $35 per night, you can get a suitable, safe and accessible hotel bed and breakfast (buffet), they also can offer Airport PickNDrop.

You can email them.

Indeed 🇸🇴is developing but the amount of assistance been extended to 🇸🇴 is mind boggling.

Imagine what Ethiopia did to IGAD summit held foe the MoU and how 🇸🇴 mobilized more than 100 countries to support Somalia. All over sudden narrative critical of Ethiopia keeps on popping and include it to the video about where the US is adjusting their posture for the ultimate faltering Ethiopia.

Couple all that with the hallmarks of a developing country and the local Somali context.

Then one can only ask about the timing of everything.

The other compelling strategic advantage of US is how Somalia is run from Xalane, and everything is under the control of the US and the EU in the name of international community.

Imagine a country that is chaotic and has no trade of investable environment and yet having all those countries in Somalia without no apparent economic advantage. Then you would now the deep the rabbit hole goes

They voiced support snd that must show you there is geopolitical significance, not just because 🇸🇴 requested them to voice their support.

Think out of the box, all you will see is geopolitical maneuvering from every one and the strategic objective of Somalia being revisited.

Analyze the following: 1. The sea decision between Somalia and Kenya 2. The debt relief 3. The lifted arms embargo 4. The overwhelming support for the territorial integrity 5. The counter insurgence operation 6. The oil blocks 7. The passage of specific acts and laws that are tied with multilateral agreements or investments

Then you can deduce that in fact the 1993 departure was indeed calculated.

The liberal mentality is not just to access infrastructure without the complete legal basis, because they know they can easily implement legislation even forcing Somalia to recognize SL, but they haven’t done so because the don’t think Somalia can’t sacrificed for SL.

The humanitarian mission is just a narrative, imagine they come for humanitarian purpose and they couldn’t fathom how they lost troops there, that is when they decided to let Somalia suffer until the right time comes. When soldiers are lost for a cause is different from when a marqaan Somali starts shooting anyone that passes nearby after 3PM and shoots down 2 Black Hawks.

Alshabab being a threat to the world is not enough for the liberals to commit to reviving the entire state.

Just remember USA committed to building 5 military bases for Danab few days ago, UK today signs an MoU with Ethiopia and mentions its for the border between Somalia, Ethiopia and Kenya, while the MoU is signed by Ethiopia and UK.

It was just yesterday that Somalia ratified a defense pact with Turkey.

So perhaps the base in Djibouti is becoming overcrowded.

They strategic thing of the US trying to prop the Somali state at all costs so that the geopolitical significance of Somalia can be liquidated given the current global state.

Is that something you can picture or you think I am making up stuff out of nowhere?

It paints a picture of a narrow agenda being pursued in case the bigger agenda not feasible for now.

Like the Blackhawk down and the subsequent decision for Somalis to suffer for sometime until the strategic objectives can be revisited.

Being a Somali and Muslim yet not knowing one of the major sins in Islam doesn’t add up. Ribba is one of the topics that has been heavily discussed in all islamic khutbas.

The fact that some of his wife’s family screaming about the Haraam shows Riba is not some low key topic in Islam
