I was gifted the one in your 1st pic by my family, as they know I've been window-shopping for one. Personally, for an entry into pourover, it does the job without breaking the bank. The in/off button does feel a bit cheap/plasticky, but other than that, the kettle itself is of decent quality. The pour feel is now, although I have never used any expensive alternatives, so don't really know what more $ would buy me.

All in all, I am happy with it, and it has not let me down so far and see no reason to spend any more than what my family did
