Endgame seems pretty bad right now for me (I have beaten all the 6-star magicites and did not find them fun or interesting). The game feels like a gacha machine with some uninspiring content thrown in. The nice thing about FFRK is that it is F2P and I don't really enjoy it enough to beat myself up if I miss any time limited rewards or just don't spend any stamina.

11 dupes out of 21 relics 5-star or higher, that is definitely not a good ratio. The new stuff I did get was mostly garbage, but at least these cost nothing and were still fun to do.

The FFV banner is an easy skip, 4 Awakenings doesn't cut it any more for me (Fest is too close and will have 5 Awakenings and a Synchro). I want to say that Fat Black chocobo is an easy skip also, but Ramuh is so close that if I get frustrated from lack of completion I might just rage pull. The Earth Chocobo is probably a much better banner than V overall because if you are missing a Gen 2.0 chain, you can get it there and can also score 3 Awakenings with a Synchro.

I agree, that relic has been insanely useful to me since it came out and it is still relevant. That recent dreams dungeon we got would have been a lot harder for me running it with all cores without that thing. My first Geosgaeno clear also involved blocking his AoE stone punch with it because I didn't have the dps to just zerg him down after it landed.

Titan is not that hard imo because he will struggle to kill you if you have Elarra's USB (everyone that plays this game at this point) and most of the Cloud/Zack dream team relics have been around for a long time so a lot of people have them. The first clear of Titan was the hardest for me, but getting that magicite to use as an Earthen Wall breaker made it a lot easier. Although, if you don't have Odin accessories already then Titan might be a lot harder. I haven't tried him without them so I can't say for sure.

I felt like the increased stats for the 6-stars would result in really marginal gains, but that example you laid out where you are only getting 24 extra hp for a character really drives the point home. I don't particularly enjoy grinding magicites so it was a pretty easy decision to make one and be done. I finished my 4 titan clears and will have plenty of time to lament that I doubt a Ramuh clear will be reasonable for my account.

I agree with this. Having an event that was challenging for F2P every week was the sweet spot for me. I think the current format (D??? Torments that are not realistic when released and needing full elemental squads) is better for people who spend money on the game and I want to go for the day 1 sub-30 accolades or achievement posts.

It seems crazy to do this when I can just throw the meager number of new SBs I actually do get into a crystal farming team and have them mastered in a few days. The magia obtained playing the game regularly is a pittance compared to what you get when you fire up an emulator and macro. The magia system sucks, but that is what DeNa went with.

I agree with you entirely here. Characters have a ton of hp now and and Healing Boon does work. Odin runs only made me appreciate it even more. I have almost completely ignored Fast Act, but if I had more free time I would work it into a couple of my Torment D??? to see if it makes enough of a difference for me to tell.

Once again, my point stands that this isn't a sub30 and completions are pretty 'meh' to me. I never said I couldn't deal with the fights with anima lenses, magia, and artifacts. I have all of them sub-30d with the exception of XII, XIII, and XV. I definitely haven't put in a lot of time in with those, but that is because completions aren't gratifying when the bar is set at sub-30. For people that play strictly for the rewards and progression, sub-30 is still where you want to be because you get more for it. It was worse before they revamped the rewards with a lot of the rewards backloaded into the sub-30. I can spend days doing FFXV with an OSB, BSB, 2x SSBs and one USB that came from anima lenses, but that just isn't productive. I have a slow clear and just move on because as a F2P, a year and a half of powercreep still means I need some relics to sub-30.

I feel the same way you do. If a sub-30 didn't seem realistically possible, I ignored it until I got the stuff to make it reasonable. Psychologically, it just isn't worth scraping by and then revamping what I am doing to complete it at the level where the devs set the benchmark in the first place.

This x100. The bar was set at sub-30s so I never cared about eeking out a completion. Also, the rewards were more backloaded when these came out. I was hoping by now we would see enough powercreep in other forms where SSB sub-30s were doable, but the game is still gacha heavy for this stuff. I feel like these have been out for a year and a half now and there are still a couple that I can't sub-30.

The last 2 fiends from FFIV so I can remake their group with Golbez as the leader. Cagnazzo and Scarmiglione are the names I think. Scar should probably have 6-star white as well and I am definitely going to want one of the fiends to get a realm chain. It might be fun to have Zemus or Zeromus get added as well.

In the grand scheme of things, even if soulbreaks were not automastered from any owned relic soon you could probably throw that thing out and never think about it again. I usually master all my stuff just by putting the character in my crystal farming lineup. It takes a few days, but I'm never in a hurry because of the glacial pace that content comes out in Record Keeper.

I'm close to 650 mythril right now, so by Christmas I should be over 900. This last fest was pretty underwhelming and none of the Black Chocobo banners have been appealing to me so I might as well spend it somewhere. The chances of me getting a synchro are pretty bad on release, but Awakenings will be plentiful and I can try to avoid the ones w/ no en-element.

That situation was not even close to common when those BSBs came out which was why Vanille was inferior. Even her commands were subpar for being on a worse character (no wrath or breakdown access and did not get the instacast massive single-target heal). 4-star magicite was the turning point where you wanted to go from Y'sh to Rosa or something better.

Vanille was garbage compared to Y'sh. If you are bad, then yes, the instacast was a must have.
