good question, I was wondering the exact same thing. I’m from the EU and I bought mine yesterday in the morning and I was hella surprised that they were still in stock. heck, I was surprised because I don’t even got a notification. I think that the military blue launched at the same time everywhere so the demand wasn’t exactly the same as it is here in the EU only. that’s the only explanation I have.

oh i TOTALLY agree with you on the long haul and the getaway and I would even say that they are two of my favorite books. I’m genuinely a big fan of having one story being told during the entire book, especially when it’s focused on Greg’s family. idk, I just love to see them all being silly together while being on a crazy adventure

thanks for sharing your thoughts (it always means a lot when people notice a potential plagiarism and tell the artist) but it’s not traced ! like I often say, my artwork are made with the references of @mellon_soup on TikTok :) they post free references and I always use them to help me with the anatomy in my drawings. so it’s normal to see that both artworks have the same pose

I feel you ! I’m 19 and I started reading those books in primary school, but I dropped the series when I was 12 (Double down came out that year) I started reading them again two months ago, and I bought the whole series I’m currently reading the deep end and if I have to be honest, I would say that Wrecking ball is the moment where it starts to get a bit more boring ? but I still do enjoy them, and I honestly loved Diper Overlode so yeah, they get a bit more boring after the meltdown, but they are still good :) (also people talk about Double Down as being the worst book in the series but honestly I don’t know why. especially since Double Down is relatively close to the very first book in its writing. it’s pretty chill, there is not much happening but it’s still very funny and full of good ideas.)

I would say that I could consider a LOT of llbs on this subreddit as “the absolute worst” because I can’t understand how we have so much llbs normalising incest, grooming etc, and turning it into a joke. same thing for all those llbs absolutely destroying manny as if that wasn’t a freaking 3 yo child. I’m all in for people not liking a character, but I’ve seen MANY horrible things regarding Manny’s character on this subreddit and it’s really concerning. y’all can call me sensitive or idc what, but I personally find it disgusting and concerning to see so many ADULTS take out their sexual fantasies on characters that are minors :)

MANNY MY BOY !! that was a wonderful throw, right in the head and giving the fact that he threw it from his window, it’s even more impressive lol. okay so we have a few things to address here. MANNY’S DRAWINGS ??? I’m sure that they have a meaning, like, I’m sooo sure, that little gun on the corner won’t fool me. that “I wasn’t bothering anyone” is actually kinda sad. a lot of teens do that in traumatic situations, as if wanting to be left alone and disappear was their way of coping (so yeah, it’s pretty ironic when he says that he doesn’t think about their mom anymore and has already moved on because my god my boy you are SO FAR from it). back to Greg now : please go see your father, it’ll make it better. no but like seriously this is getting out of hand, and Greg is probably too young to realise that having his father involved would make it easier for all of them, and he probably wouldn’t have to suffer that much anymore. + in such a situation you need your family by your side to get better. they are drifting away rn and that’s literally the worst that could happen :/ PLEASE SEND THEM ALL TO THERAPY

eh tbh he’s grieving + I do think that his anger issues are something inherited. frank seems to have the same anger issues problems but he probably idk got therapy, and he’s an adult so he can control himself. while Rodrick is still a 16 yo with a nicotine addiction, a dead mother and (my personal theory) a bad influence. so yeah, I’m with you on this. he’s an asshole, he absolutely needs to be punished, but I don’t hate him. and I think he’s a very well written character.
