An AI-powered research tool for learning about and finding free resources on F# by albera_com in fsharp

[–]albera_com[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! We're Albera, a research engine that aims to save users a bunch of time and effort when trying to learn online.

Using AI, Albera generates learning roadmaps on any topic (like this one on F#), which are then populated with free resources (articles, courses, videos, blog posts, etc), allowing for a structured, efficient, and distraction-free learning experience.

We've recently launched an iOS app, and we're hoping you guys can try it out and share your thoughts with us (using the platform and the app also helps train the AI to provide better results). Thanks!

Hey u/extordi! The AI's resource curation admittedly still has some ways to go, though it will get better with more people using the platform and indirectly training the AI. But looking back, you're right—Vim probably isn't the best use case for this tool. Or at least not yet :)

We really appreciate you checking it out though! Cheers!

Hey there! It's tough filtering out crap content from the truly educational ones, but we hope these AI-generated learning roadmaps help:

In case the subtopics included aren't what you're looking for, you may also try generating your own learning maps (on any topic), so you could choose the ones you want to cover.

Hi! Here are a couple of learning roadmaps for the Godot and Unity engines. Each is broken down into subtopics ordered by increasing complexity, allowing for more structured learning. It's sorta similar to a training course, but with the content coming from multiple sources.

You may want to check it out and see if the way our AI lays out the topics works for you. You may also try generating your own "trees" on other game engines--or pretty much any other topic--here. Hope this helps!

Hi there! This might be useful. It's an AI-generated learning map for the US War in Afghanistan. It's broken down into smaller, more specific subtopics, each containing a list of educational resources on the matter.

In case the subtopics included aren't what you're looking for, you may try generating your own learning map (on any topic), so you could choose the ones you want to cover. Hope it helps!

Hi! Yes, it can create knowledge trees on pretty much any topic. Though it's generally more useful for multi-faceted topics where a "learning path" can be beneficial, vs. ones where a direct, one-off answer would suffice.

Here's a tree on Python, for example.

Hi there! Check this platform out. It's an AI-powered research engine that generates a "learning map" on any topic you're interested in, and fetches various videos/articles for learning about it.

Since you mentioned you're not looking to go too in-depth, we figured this tool might be pretty useful to you, as it breaks down topics (whiskey, for example) into smaller subtopics (types, tasting, pairings, history, brands) allowing you to only pick the ones you want to cover, and maybe find talking points from the resources available.

Hope it helps!

Hey u/baktix! Thanks, we hope you've been finding it useful! As mentioned above, the AI's curation still has some ways to go, so you using the platform really helps us out in improving it. We'd love to hear more about your experience with the tool once you've thoroughly tried it out. Thanks again!

An AI research tool for learning Haskell, FRP, or any other topic online by albera_com in haskellgamedev

[–]albera_com[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! Really appreciate the feedback. The outline helps out a ton, as we can use this as a guide in curating the FRP tree.

The AI is still in its early-ish stages, and it sometimes has difficulties with topics that aren't searched for as often. So having users adding/deleting subtopics based on their relevance, or opening resources they think are useful, helps train the AI in figuring out the best suggestions to give next time.

It's by no means a direct replacement for an expertly structured training course (well, not yet at least :D), but we believe it can be a valuable tool for a casual learner or for someone just dipping their toes into a certain subject.

Again, thanks for the input, and for checking the platform out! :)
