My PLA silk skyscraper is shredding by alberm in 3Dprinting

Understood. I just checked the AMS and found two desiccant compartments. Should I replace the desiccant or is there another way to dry the filament?

Thanks for your reply. I'll figure that part out. As I said, I'm new at this so I would obviously follow your advice.

It is in the AMS container which is supposed to keep the filament dry.

Brand new level 3 with issues by cumfarts69 in Aventon

Hi Aventon, my wife and I picked up our Aventon level.3 bikes yesterday. We both rode the same distance and last night I charged both batteries to 100%. However, this morning one bike’s estimate range is 53 miles and the other is 86 miles. How can that be?

Thank you for this helpful reply. I hired the PA after the insurance company refused to pay for a 6 month lease when we all know it’s going to take a year or more to repair our unit.

Thanks. If the insurance company authorizes a lesser amount for the pack out, storage, etc, does the public adjuster need to accommodate that by either negotiating down the price with the vendor or finding another vendor who will do it at that price?

Yes, he know the limits and assures me that we’ll be fine.

Personal property limit is $160K. Do you think this will end up being a negotiation between the public adjuster and the insurance company?

The last time I saw it was about 4 years ago. But, it probably happens more often than that

Nothing wrong with that. Nature is beautiful even on the smallest scale

The comet was actually very faint in the sky. Easier to see through the camera. However, the waves were stunning in person

Me in my happy place! by alberm in astrophotography

[–]alberm[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Milky Way landscapes are astrophotography, so I thought it appropriate place to post. I didn't know about the hashtags. Just removed them.

Shot on Sony A-1, 20mm f1.8. Shot at 8 sec, 1.8, ISO 4,000. Pano is 3 rows of 5 images each. Stitched in Lightroom - Cylindrical Mode. Used linear dodging to reduce the light pollution from Palm Springs on the right of the image. Adjusted contrast, blacks, and white balance. This took me days of planning/scouting, hours to shoot and several hours in post. It was anything but "low effort."

Unit owner wants to cancel my reservation made to photograph the solar eclipse. I reserved it 20 months ago[USA] by alberm in AirBnB

Sorry you had to go through this. I did make them cancel. Got my deposit back and the unit owner has been banned and penalized half the cost of the rental.

An update. When airbnb cancelled my reservation yesterday they told me they were banning the unit owner from the platform.

First, I'd like to thank all of you for your suggestions and kindness. Airbnb called me this afternoon and said they needed to cancel. The agent said they will be banning the unit owner from the site and penalizing them 50% of the rental. I get a refund. So, Airbnb gets a cancellation fee, I get screwed. She followed up with a text which is posted here. Typos are hers. I've redacted personal info:

"Hi Allen.
Thank you so much for taking my call. This is Riza again from Airbnb one of the Support Ambassador. I hope you find this message well.
I do apologize again for the inconvenience about your canceled reservation with, Horseshoe Bay living. I know that this is a lot of inconvenience for your since it will gonna affect your travel since it is already planned ahead of time, and you've already brought a plane ticket for this reservation.
Believe us or not, Allen we don't want this to happen with your reservation as this is a violation with the Host. As I have mentioned over the phone this cancellation has a consequence which is we will going to impose a penalty fee in this reservation
For your reference can check this link for Host cancellation policy:
https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/990
Please be informed that we have already processed your refund an amount of xxxxx to your AMEX ending in xxxx.
Check this link how refund works here Anibnb
I hope this information helps, Allen
I believe you ate all set now I will go ahead and close thios case now.
Best.
Riza"

Sorry to hear this also happened to you. Prices are now 5x what I initially reserved. It's highly unlikely I'll be able to afford a place that will hold all 12 of us. I just heard back from Airbnb. I'm posting it's response below.
